New here - on week 3 - feeling good but stressed!
Hi!
I am starting on my third week of ideal protein. I lost 10 lbs and 6 1/2 inches the first week - 4 lbs and 5 inches the second. I am pretty excited but I have a long way to go! I am a former college basketball player, former PE teacher, medical practice manager, softball coach, wife, and most importantly, mother to a 6,5, and 1 yr old. I am feeling a little stressed and I am hoping to balance it all. So far I have been doing very well - not "cheating" but I think I am eating more lean meat that I should. I am not sure if that is a big problem or not. I am also trying to get in enough veggies but I am finding that to be hard as well. I do have thyroid issues and auto-immune disease but i've been able to see a difference in inflammation and fluid retention - so awesome! I am hoping to lose about 50 lbs so I think I am on the right track - need to stay inspired!!!! |
Welcome to the forum!! And way to go on loosing!
As for the "extra stressful" days...my coach has told me that stress does use up quite a bit of energy, and during those times... we need more food. If I am working a busy 12 hours shift... I will for sure have an extra packet. I was having issues where I wasn't having the extra packet when I needed it, and I was feeling hungry, dizzy etc. As soon as I started having an extra pack when I know I will be having a super stressful/active/busy day... dizziness/headaches/hunger issues gone. Not sure if that helped at all... but something to consider! Keep it up!! |
Welcome to the Forum and good luck! I too am on week 3. I have found that being on the forums has really helped me alot, it is great to see other people are going through the same stuggles as I am and how they get through them!

Week 3 for me, too! It sounds like you are already doing great. There is a lot of help and support on these pages for anything you might need. It certainly has made it much easier for me to stick to it!
