I do recall having read about this in a weight loss article many months ago (not related to IP though), but did not find any kind of scientific reasoning for it.
It's not going to hurt you, so if you want to try it, I'd say 'why not?'. Apple cider vinegar is tasty...I use it with my EVOO and lemon juice on my lettuce every day. Also, I have had it diluted with water to drink and it's not too bad at all.
