I have a few questions regarding alternative foods (buying IP all the time is expensive!)
This might be more towards LOSINGFORGOOD2010 since she posted the requirements... When determining products and whether they are unrestricted, restricted, etc: 1) What is fat content limit on restricted (you listed 5g for unrestricted but didn't mention it for restricted?) 2) The carb amounts, are those total carbs or net carbs? 3) Is there a minimum about of protein that should be in each? Thank you much! |

Good morning and my apologies for not answering earlier questions. The requirements were actually sent to me by DARBS. I will send her a note to check on this link to give more info if possible. She might be on holiday now? Here is what she sent me: For non-restricted stick to 90-120 calories with less than 5 carbs and 5 grams of fat For restricted stick to 150-180 calories with less than 18 carbs I eat an omelete everyone morning (90 calories, 2 carbs, 0 fat)...I order from Nashau Nutrition on line I eat oatmeal, chocolate cake, or hot chocolate for lunch every day (around 100, 120, 90 calories and 6, 8, 5 carbs...the cake is a little high...doesn't affect loss) I eat a bar every day for snack (around 150-180 calories and 12-16 carbs) All food is ordered from Nashau...I get about 3-4 weeks worth for $99. everything is yummy and they have peanut butter bars that taste like Resee's cups |

I am a very firm believer that IP products have the best nutrition and help keep you full. But the alternatives work just as well and if you are running low on cash or have to lose a lot and be on this diet for extended time periods (6 months or more)....they help and work. But do becareful and read read read the ingrediants....as it has been said many of the hot chocolates contain aspartame. All the bars are awesome especially the creamy peanut butter, double peanut butter, and creamy peanut butter and jelly. |
I had posted this on another thread, but thought it may help here too.
Wow --- New Lifestyle Diet looks wonderful. I looked at the puddings and the RTDs. I found replacement RTDs at Fit RX www.fitrx.com - brand name Labrada. Costco carried these for a while, and the vanilla ice cream tastes amazing. A 14 oz bottle has 180 calories, 7G fat, 5g carb, dietary fiber 4g, sugar 0g, protein 25g. For orders over $99 the shipping is free. Costs $28.95 for a case of 12. It could be split into 2 IP packet equivalents. While I am very pleased with the IP plan, the cost is starting to mount up, so it helps to find alternatives. |
I like the Zero Carb Isopure drinks and protein powder. More protein. You only need 1 scoop.

I have recently placed an order with Nashua but due to the postal strike I have not recieved my goodies, So I had to get some more IP!!! I had been really looking forward to saving the money!
Cant wait to try the new stuff!! |

EAS protein shake from B.J.'s. Much cheaper than the protein shakes from GNC.
