Thanks for the encouragement guys. My coach never measured me. I really wish I would have thought about doing it myself. Never to late to start now right?
I am fitting into some really old clothes though and that does make me very happy.

Last week I ate a total of 10 restricteds so three above my normal one a day. I only lost 2.6 lbs so this week I'm focused on being 100% OP although I do have a bit of ham. I'm already down nearly 2lbs since Wednesday. So it looks like I was sabotaging myself!

My oldest daughter turns four next month and her party is on the 11th. I've decided to make it my goal to get to 160lbs by then. So from Wednesday that will be 17lbs in a month. I was losing the weight that fast before adding extra restricteds so I totally think it's doable. That leaves me only 15 lbs to go!

Someone asked about Mirena and weight gain. I did a bunch of research trying to find some BC and found tons of people who had gained significant weight while on it. Not everyone does but it happens. I opted to go with the fertility awareness methom and condoms. I don't do well with hormonal BC. I know it's pricy but if the weight gain was significant it may be worth having the Mirena taken out. In the end though, you have to do what works for you!

I'm a newbie (just completed week 1), I want to thank you all for your posts. Very encouraging for someone just beginning the program.

My best mistake

So last night I made up a packet of the dark chocolate pudding and threw it into the freezer to get it nice and cold...found it this morning. Best mistake ever!!! It is like a jello pudding pop, delish and very refreshing! I rather like the puddings. I was never a pudding fan before startnig IP and now have that as my evening snack two to three nights per week as I feel to guilty eating any of the actually snack foods and feel like they might have been slowing down my loss. Good luck and give them a try!
I love having a restricted per day but I don't think it works for me. :( Going forward, I am going to save them as weekend treats (Friday, Saturday and Sunday only). I haven't tried the pudding yet but I think that I will next time I get IP stuff.

I was curious about the movie too!

Good luck today!

Enjoy your weekend. Have a blast! You can do it!

Yay! You are awesome! What a wonderful NSV! I am so proud of you. I am 100% positive that the results will come.

I am sorry about you are feeling sick today though and I hope you feel better soon.[/QUOTE]

Hi Everyone,
1.5 pounds from goal, I can't believe it. I enjoy phase two with something different for lunch and not having to pack and clean my stupid mixing cup. I gotta tell you though, the closer I get the harder it is. Sunny days make me want a COLD BEER and I am gagging my way through my veggies. I am just so sick of the same ones. I know phase three is the most important, but I swear I don't know how much longer I can do it. Any advice out there?

It was me that was asking...Right after the baby I was loosing the weight pretty steadily but after the holidays and traveling adding the Mirena my weight just seemed to go up and up. Not sure if that is the cause or not but I don't think I have many options for birth control. I cannot take the pill since I am on antibiotics quite often due to a heart condition so it voids it effectiveness, not the same with Mirena. Even with the Mirena we still use condoms Miss Grace was 2 years in the making, after 2 losses(10w and 18w) and an ectopic pregnancy I cannot chance getting pregnant again and having to deal with the emotional roller coaster that we have been through. If that means dieting and exercising to maintain my weight once I lose my current weight I am OK with that. Sorry ranting...:)

I totally understand not wanting the emotional rollercoaster. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Especially a second trimester loss.

We had three miscarriages, two blighted ovums and one at 9w. It's horrible. I'd love to have one more baby but I have to be prepared. I've never had two successful pregnancies in a row. We know the problem, low progesterone, but I don't trust 100% that it will work again.

Did you try the nuvaring? I don't know if antibiotics affect it though.

Wow you're sooo close!! Congrats, that's amazing!!

I'm not sure which veggies you've been eating, but my advice would be to make sure you're getting a good variety of them, switch them up every few days (if not more often). And prepare them differently each time. Salads, stir fries, roasted, grilled, steamed, soups. I put mine in meatloaf, stuffed peppers, or shepherd's pie if I don't feel like having vegetables, because then I barely realize I'm eating them. :) Mushrooms and cauliflower are my faves and I make them in a variety of ways, but I get all sorts of veggies so it's not always the same, and so I'm getting all my nutrients.

Check out the recipe threads, too!

My coach said no to any diet soda but I'm learning here that everyone seems to have different opinions/methods :?:

Nope. Sorry. (It pains me too, I was a diet coke addict.)

We can have Splenda and Truvia/Stevia as sweeteners. Diet sodas generally use the wrong kind of sweetener. So, sadly, no.

Seltzer is allowed.

Hello Everyone,

Happy Friday.

I tried some Atkins bars that me crave more and more...I think about sweets all the time. I literally ate 4 cookies yesterday and 6 - SIX peanut butter cups AND I wanted MORE. I read that sugar alcohols (malitrol) can cause bloating, gas and cravings. Has anyone had cravings caused by alternatives?

I can have too much maltitol... I found that out years ago when I ate sugar-free chocolates and spent the next two days suffering -- cramps, gas, then diarrhea. I can eat the IP choc bars, but I've only ever had one or two per week. I think it's a question of amount for me. A tiny bit, I am ok. Any more, I am suffering.

Congrats on your low weight... You must feel fantastic!
