Coming on here and admitting you cheated is a GOOD thing, though. This way, you get 2 things: The support you need to get back on track, and 2) a little, maybe forceful nudge to stay OP. The "problem" arose when others were also saying they cheated, that it started seeming like there was no big deal if you cheat. It was not one post in particular, but instead the general direction and tone that everyone's posts were leading to.

Supportive posts on here, whether it's a kick in the butt or not, are not meant to bring anyone down, point fingers, or put people on guilt trips. That's not what this forum is about at all. If we are wandering off in the wrong direction, we need to be pushed back on track. If it's a little forceful, it only is to prevent "cheating" from getting out of hand, to keep us aware of the repercussions, and is written by caring individuals with good intentions.

As showgirlaz, always full of information and wisdom, mentioned, "In cyber world, you must be your own filter of the words that come back to you. Choose the words that motivate you and let the others go. You are being given a spectrum of advice to choose from so, choose what works!" And I can't remember who said it yesterday, but some people need "tough love," others don't. Unfortunately, we do not know each other individually well enough to determine which they need. This forum provides both; so take whichever you need!

That being said, I also want to let you know that I'm truly glad to see you around. I always valued your posts and missed reading them while you'd been gone. In your situation, the temptation to cheat would have overwhelmed most, if not all, of us. GO YOU for admitting it to all of us, and for being determined to get back on track. I'm very sorry that you felt any of the "tough love" was being directed to you. Honestly, I have a very low confidence, and anytime weightloss was mentioned to me before this diet, I just started crying. Just MENTIONING weight did this. I'm so glad I'm feeling better about myself now. You're definitely looking great, you're on the right track, you've overcome many obstacles on your journey, may have hit a few, but you're still going forward. Keep it up!!

Thank you for your note, I truly appreciate it. I will remain here because this is about me and my future and I do gain great insight and encouragement from you all. :)

Just had WI #4 & it's my TOM and I'm down 3.5 lbs! Woo-hoo!

AprilH3 05-04-2011 04:28 PM

I had WI#6 today, down 2.8lbs during TOM and last week I had a little too much extra protein and addistional restricteds. Is there going to be a May challenge? I think I need a challenge to help a bit.

I'm super excited since I go WI to WI for my week I can have tomatoes for dinner! Woo! So tomato cucmber salad for me. Yum. I do wish we could have tomatoes more often but it's ok because if for sure will be later.

I tried the southwest cheese curls and they are yummy! With the size of the bag I could easily split it when I feel hungry and want a snack. I can also see adding them as a breadding for chicken nuggets or crushing them and adding them to a meatloaf. I need some WF ketchup and splenda brown sugar.

it sounds like today is going good for everyone! I can't wait until we get internet for our house. It's really hard to reply to people off my phone. :(

Does anybody else struggle with feeling like they've lost something to look forward to? I used to look forward to my lunch break at work so much every day, not just for the food, but apparently that was a huge part of it. Now I could skip it and care less. I'm not excited for my salad. At all. I'm not excited about my stupid shakes. At all. I've lost that happy thing to look forward to and am feeling kind of miserable about it at work today. :(

One Hundred Pounds & ONEDERLAND

Just wanted to say how much I love Ideal Protein and this wonderful website as well as thank everyone who post to this forum everyday. I read most everything but don't post too much as I am afraid to jinx myself.

I had WI# 27 today and am down another 3.4 lbs and that brings my official loss to 100.4 lbs. I reached ONDERLAND last week but it didn't seem real until now.

I went shopping over the weekend and did not have to buy any clothes with an "X" in the size. I bought size "large" shirts & shorts to wear now, and a couple "mediums" to use as incentive. It was really weird to shop in the "misses" section instead of the "womens".

I have been strictly IP foods up until now but I am doing an experiment this week with Nashua Nutrition. My daughter wants to start the diet so I am taking this week to try out the menu I prepared for her. I just received my order today and plan on keeping a detailed review of the foods that I picked. I will be curious to see how my results will compare.

Thanks for all the inspiration,

Can you replace it with something to look forward to? Something really fun? I'm not sure your financial situation, but maybe do a manicure once or twice a month at lunch. I plan to go to the gym for a 30 minute run at lunch. It isn't good to not leave your desk all day (if you're at a desk). Find something you will enjoy... with the weather getting nicer (unless you're in the Southern Hemisphere... I forgot to look!), maybe take up photography! Take a walk or drive every day and take photos of scenery, people, etc. Just brainstorm... you can find something you love to do! Do you scrapbook? Bring a small project around with you. Quilt or cross stitch?

Me too!!! A huge key for me has been finding something I like to eat on this plan. I eat the same thing everyday. A restricted for breakfast, an IP omelette filled with steamed broccoli and mushrooms, dinner is meat and roasted broccoli usually, sometimes a salad, then before bed a chocolate shake. I know how you feel but maybe you need to try some new recipes. Eat to live not live to eat. I still miss food everyday and probably always will. I have had several break downs, tears and all. I will always be jealous of people that can eat whatever they want but I hope it catches up with them. But this is NOT forever. Get the weight off and then you can maintain. I can totally live like this knowing I can get a day off. That is the final phase. You can do it!

I still look forward to lunch, luckily where I work has a full kitchen so I can have an omlette or a hot soup or roast veg in the oven. What did you use to do for lunch break? is there something on this diet that you like? I look forward to the omlettes and when I can have restricted the peanut soy puffs. I don't do the salad ever day as I would get bored too fast. I think you just to have a pep talk with yourself and say this isn't forever and I can get through the blahh feelings.

I hope you both feel better tomorrow. If you have to I guess just take it minute to minute if the day isn't going well. I love to leave the office for a little while at lunch so that helps a lot too. I take a 15 minute walk and it is finally getting warm here so am enjoying it more and more. Try and stay strong you too and tomorrow it will be better.

Hurrah for YOU!!!!!!

What a ONEderful feeling you must be experiencing! This is something that I'm looking forward to for myself one day.

YOU JUST GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!!:bravo:

snowclover 05-04-2011 05:53 PM

Thanks everyone. I just slept through my lunch with my head on my desk- because I'm sick, not because I was overcome with self pity... mostly. ;) I feel a little better and I'm not so tempted to buy soup.

There are 3 restaurants where I work, so I used to grab lunch at any of those each day, always mixing it up and having whatever I felt like. *sigh* I was very used to indulging my every food whim.

Seeing others post their "onederland" victories has made me want to persevere though. I'm close, and I want to be there too!

Finally, after being on this program since January, I have had my largest loss since the first week. I usually only lose 1 or 1.5 pounds per week, but this week I lost 3!!! Didn't do anything different but I am so happy. Only 7 more to go!! For some reason my Lean Body Mass went down 2 points and my coach practically bit my head off and accused me of cheating. I hadn't cheated and she kept prodding to get me to say something to explain the situation. Nothing to explain!! Lost weight, inches but gained in the BMI and Lean Body Mass. I'm just going to keep doing what I am doing and look forward to reaching my goal. Good luck to everyone this week!
