Nsv
I have had a couple today...
1. one of the guy's at work asked me a while ago how I lost and I told him, he wanted more information so I sent him everything. He is on day 6 and has lost 9 lbs already. That makes me feel good.
2. One of the girl's at work who had also asked me about IP, came up to me today and said that she had to do a double take when she came back from vacation that I had changed so much... and she starts IP Saturday.
I am glad they both made this decision, I will never regret it even though my bank account does. Happy IP and OP day!

Serious NSV for me today. I just found out that I get to go to a conference in June in Florida. The hotel is fantastic and has an amazing pool. I am looking forward to going and sitting in a bathing suit by the pool. THIS IS HUGE!
I found out that a good friend from grad school days will also attend, which is nice because it means I'll have someone to have out with. YAY.

Very cute! (jealous) I have to admit that being able to buy a dress at Le Chateau for a wedding I'm going to in August is a major goal for me. Way back when (in the '90s) I bought tons of clothes from there and I want to have the option again! The clothes there are small fitting and pretty clingy- just what I'm aiming for

Happy hump day everyone. I am having a good day. I feel good!! WI 15 and down 3 lbs. Wow!! Even with my off day I still did good. Starting tommorrow I will begin Phase 3. I feel like I can see the finish line!! All my numbers look good but my BMI and I seriously can't see me weighing 112. I could not maintain that!! But I am in the 140's and happy. My 13 yo told me last night "Mama, you are skinny!" I joked that she wanted something and she said no cause when I hug you I can feel it!! Sweet girl. Thanks to all of you for getting me through a tough times physically and mentally. Your support has meant everything to me. Phase 3!!! Can't believe it. So excited for toast and yougurt!! Keep up the good worl everyone and know that this can happen to you if you stay with the program. It's hard work but sooooo worth it!! A month from today I will be sitting on the beach in Siesta Key and finally confident to wear a bathing suit!! No cover up for me!!!

As most of you know, I mixed things up with regards to my meals a little yesterday. I was hoping to get rid of the 3-4 p.m. hunger. Around 3 p.m., I still got hungry. Not as hungry as usual though. So, I had my hard boiled eggs (1 whole egg + 1 egg white) and some celery and it was enough to hold me over until supper (which was delayed because traffic was so bad that it took forever to get home last night). I had my chocolate RTD for evening snack (I love that so much!).
So, I am going to stick to that plan again today. Maybe it will just take time for my body to adjust and the 3-4 p.m. hunger will go away.
Today's plan is:
B~ Lemon bar (restricted), white tea with orange
L~ Tomato basil soup and salad with homemade salad dressing (EVOO and ACV)
S~ Hard boiled eggs (I also have a vanilla RTD drink box if needed)
D~ Whatever my husband defrosts (or trout if he forgets to defrost) and veggies
S~ RTD chocolate drink box (if no RTD taken earlier)
My weight loss seems to be slowing down. I hope it speeds up a little before the weekend. I need a few really good weeks to keep motivated and to start plannning on phase II (and more importantly, I really want to add another "cool dancing dude" to my signature!).
Have a great 100% OP day everyone!

I'm following along with you SusieBee! We have almost the same stats. You seem to be cruising along allot faster than I am...I'm going to try to catch up with you!

Great Advise from Pxlkitty4

I was getting sick of the barage of "what can you eat? do you eat veggies? It sounds like Atkins. Is it like Atkins? Why can't you eat fruit?"

Thank you so much for the advise. After answering the "dreaded" question what diet are you on I explain what changes I'm making to learn how to eat healthy the rest of my life. They then follow up with their advise. Yeah, not. I keep getting, "Oh, sounds like Atkins you should do more research. Also, I've read you shouldn't be losing weight this fast you know it will always come back with additional weight". I don't even know what Adkins is and I haven't been able to even reply, other than get this, I thank them.
It clicked when you said, It's none of their business. You're right! It's my life and my choice to eat healthy so I can be healthy. I shouldn't have to make excuses or defend myself. I will have to spend some time to be creative and preplan a polite but firm response then move the conversation on to another subject. Of course, when someone is sincere that's a whole different situation.
Thank you

It really is no one's business... Good for you! I feel more empowered now that I am keeping things to myself. Losing weight uncovers a lot of OTHER peoples' issues in addition to our own. I'm learning that while on this program too...

I was told the snack can be afternoon of evening depending on when you need it most. If you aren't very hungry in the afternoon, you should have it at night. I was told to have it at night is best and having it about 1/2 to 1 hour before you sleep is better yet because it keeps you from going into a fasting mode overnight.
Some of the guidelines coaches give have to do with the unique knowledge they have about each client- health issues, medications, lifestyle (some people are up late or have odd work schedules and long days so they get extra snacks). The snacks aren't very hard a fast as too where or when.
|
Hi! I was kind of wondering when you mentioned Jordanna if you were on here last year when I was (Feb-April). I think so! Nice to see you too!
I doubt my coach thought about my specific lifestyle until this year, and only when I press him for info or ask him directed questions does he give them. So... I eat an extra packet on the days that I walk. Apparently I am a serious walker and I was exhausting all glycogen stores. Not surprising since I've done the Avon Walk (walking a marathon over a weekend). Thanks for the advice about the snack. I may switch it one day to the afternoon just to see if it makes any difference in the way I feel or in weight loss.
Thanks for the encouragement on me almost being at my goal! I think I may lower it because I don't fit into all my clothing yet. We'll see how much more I need to lose, I will adjust as I get there.

For all of you that may see my posts and think "wow, she just can't keep it together." I want to encourage you. The Maintenance program for IP works! If you follow it I have been on Maintenance since last June and am pleased to report that the most I've gained on this Phase is 7 lbs. And this was when I at whatever I wanted! At that point I freak out and go back to Phase 1 to get those 7 lbs off again. I have high aspirations to get down to 150, but that hasn't happened as of yet.
So I am sitting at my desk drinking my 2nd water bottle for the day and quite hungry, but I am the boss of this body and will not let it rule me!!
So 150, here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
|
carlasherea! Hi! You are so right, IP maintenance works really well. My goal was 138 last year and I think I was at the highest a few weeks ago (April 13) when I said, ENOUGH! I will not abide this extra weight, phase 1, here I come again! Although now I have to switch my goal lower because my smallest size clothing doesn't fit yet, but that's fine! I'm losing much faster this year than last, but maybe it's because I know what I'm doing? Also, I was so strict on phase 1 last year which may have hurt me. I've taken the suggestion to have a restricted when my weight loss stalls, which seems to have helped. Also tomatoes help for some reason, and so does walking like a fiend in the morning with my dog.
Anyway, welcome back! I am sure you will get to your 150 goal in no time! You can rock this diet!
How do I post a picture? I tried and it's even below the size and pixel limit and no go!

I love this program. I have vowed that this is the last time I will attempt this diet (until after I have kids etc) to lose this last little bit of weight. I had been bouncing between 140 and 150 since January and I am soooo glad to be out of the 140s! It is good to see some old faces here You are all doing fabulously!! 11 more pounds to go!!!!

Welcome Back!! I am so happy for you!! 136 is great! I see we have several old timers with 10 to 20 pounds to go! Very nice!

My coach, who is also my sister, re-worked the meal plan to fit my schedule. I work 10 hour days and am up driving to work at 6:20 am and driving home at 5:30 pm. So, she told me to have my snack in the morning on my way to work, so I usually have a drink while driving. Then when I get to work I will have coffee, then a bit later breakfast. I am allowed to split up my daily restricted item as well.
This is what a typical work day look like for me.
6:20am - IP Drink
8:30am - IP Cereal or Pudding
11am - 1/2 restricted item - IP Bar or Puffs
1:30pm - 2 cups of veggies
4pm - 1/2 restricted item
7:30pm - Supper
We own a store also and when I get home I usually stop there to see my husband and then head home to make supper. I try not to eat after 8pm, which is why I have my snack in the am, but sometimes it's just not possible not too.
I am fairly new to this site and to IP, but so far I am not having too much problem staying on it....some days are more difficult than others. I not hungry either, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to eat the foods that I used to eat.
Yesterday I was very very bloated, I could just feel the gas building up in my stomach and I was sick almost all day....that never happened to me before, does anyone have an idea why it did? I wasn't constipated either.
|
I can't tell how long you have been on the program. The bloating can be from a reaction to sweetener, too much protein, not enough fiber, change in diet, or any number of things. If it doesn't last very long it may not be a problem. Which packets did you eat the day you had this happen? Some packets have more sucralose and others have more acesulfame K. Some people are very sensitive to too much ace K.

I'm so sorry. Feel well soon. I know it is really hard to want to stay on protocol when you are sick. Try to do your best but, remember your health comes first. If you need any over the counter meds, cough drops or syrup ask the pharmacist or look for the sugar free items that are recommended for diabetics.

which kind of picture, and avatar that shows to the side of your post, a profile pic, or a thumbnail ?
Avatars and profile pics are done with the "user cp" tab to the top left of the 3fc window in the purple bar. Click on that then click on the appropriate link. The profile pic only shows if someone goes to your profile the avatar shows each time
For thumbnail, someone else will have to help. I just upload my photo to photobucket and connect it to here as a link. I don't know how to do the other.
