take the chocolate pancake mix, put 1/4 c water with it and a little bit of olive oil. Put it in a custard type dish or 1 cup measuring cup that you sprayed with olive oil. Cook in microwave for 1-3 mintues--I do mine on 30 second intervals. Then I put some WF chocolate syrup on it and it's a delicious chocolate muffin/brownie.

Has anyone tried the new soy patties?

I got one to try and will probably have it tomorrow for lunch.

Just wondering what to expect.

I am anxious to hear reviews on the soy patties. I wonder if you can cook them on foil on a grill.

Personally, though, I find this thread even more helpful: Fun with Ideal Protein Packets. There, you can find ways that others have been creative with their packets that otherwise would be less tasty!

I looked through the first 8 pages and that's what I found (I don't have time to go through all 59 pages!...). I hope that helps!

Also...

My faves:
Vanilla pudding (there's so much you can do with it!!)
crispy cereal (for the pancakes!)
allllllllllll the bars, mmmmm
All the soy puffs, especially the apple cinnamon
chocolate/d choco pudding
Chocolate drink
Cappuccino (when I mix it with 100mL cold water, and add my 6oz coffee to it) (or when I mix half a bag of it with half a bag of choco pudding!)
chocolate pancake

I'm probably weird but I really like a lot of the packets.

I don't like the soups, and some of the juice-drinks have a weird aftertaste. Except the pina colada in my opinion. I really like that one.
Your tastes are just like mine! I can't stand the way the soups taste and I love the apple cinnamon soy puffs and most of the chocolate drinks. I also like the crepes, you can use the syrup on those and they aren't restricted! i like the pina colada drink a lot too and I don't even care for pina coladas!

Unfortunately Ladies, the soy patty was definitely not my cup of tea.

I cooked it according to the instructions and it tasted awful to me. There is probably a way to make it so that it tastes better but wow, I didn't even finish half of it.

I am the same way with the omelet. It was my go-to breakfast for the first 5 weeks and then I just couldn't stand the texture anymore. I still have some, so I'm planning to make it with less water and turn them into crepes. I think I will wrap them around asparagus or something... Another thought I has was to bake the mix in small muffin cups and serve them over canadian bacon.

I have tried the peach mango drink. I really like it, especially over ice! I am planning to put it in the freezer and turn it into a frozen granita... I need a little fruit fix from time to time.

I have found that when you are hungry anything tastes pretty good, so I dont find any of the foods just awful. The only one that I havnt been particularly fond of so far was the pineapple, banana drink, way too stong of a taste for me. I like all of the soups except the tomato, all of the bars are awesome and the southwest cheese curls are yummy, and you get so many its almost like cheating.

Love:

Omelet
Cappacino
Vanilla Pudding

That is usually what I have every day in that order.

Chocolate soy puffs
southwest curls
apple cinnamon puffs
all the bars

Dislike:

The fruit drinks and not to fond of the chocolate drinks or pudding.
Blueberry pudding
Soups

It is fun to see what everyone likes and dislikes. I have not tried all the products. I tried the chocolate pancake this morning and it did not turn out, I am pretty sure that my batter was to thin.

Did NOT like the Leek soup, BLECK! Unfortunately I have 2 boxes of it to eat. I added cooked cauliflower and Mrs. Dash and it still tasted blah.
