Okay guys, I need some help. Today will be my 15th day on the program and I am still sore and have low energy. The cravings went away at 7 days on the program (thank goodness for that!), but I was sure all other symptoms would be gone after two week

It took about a month for me to start feeling the extra energy, and the cravings went away in about a week for me. I wasn't so much tired as I felt weak. I am a massage therapist and really noticed weakness in my arms during the first month or so, but it eventually went away and then I was up at 5am laying in bed wondering if it was to early to go out and cut the grass! :p
The energy will come and it is WONDERFUL! I just started back on IP this week and have noticed the weakness starting in my arms.. good thing I only work three days next week then taking a four day Easter Weekend!! :)

Good morning everyone it is finally friday. Woke up this morning to shovel about 3 inches of heavy wet snow off my driveway... hopefully for the last time this year.
Today is the start of Week #10 on this diet, I am into jeans I haven't worn in at least 10 years...:dance::dance: good thing the style is back... (think I would have still worn them anyway)

Have a great weekend and I am going to try to do something I haven't done. Trying to think of something will let you know on Monday.:shrug::shrug:

Was at a meeting with ip last night, and learned some new info. Now I am in canada, so not sure how it applies to the americans

The new dark chocolate and blueberry pudding wont be in rtd formats since they are made at a different place, germany I believe.

Was told the olive oil we need daily should NOT be used to cook, changes the structure of the oil and how our body uses it, She said best to drizzel over salad, use PAM too cook with!

There are no medications at all in any of the packets. And all the natura vitamins have a stamp on them that proves you get exactly 100 percent of the vitamin. Sometimes cheaper companies vary on the amounts you get.

We are getting exactly the same amount of Protien on this diet, that the CANADIAN FOOD GUIDE recomends, just not the same fat and carbs. So you can tell people who make fun of you eatting out of a foil package that loll

Also something interesting.........for the last four years, the canadian forces has been studying the IP packets, and now they will be included in the hard rations the troops will be eatting while in Iraq, etc. I was in the military for 25 years, and I know how hard it is to get them to change things. If they change something big like this means its really nutrionous for our troops. They need the protien alot since the stress they are in is unreall and they need their body to be in top shape and alert.

And..........some funny tibits, the lady giving the speech was skinny like a model, told us she didnt lose weight but tried each phase for two weeks to understand what we are going through. Then she said she could only do the phase on the week days because she loved her wine too much HAHAH, silly goose. Kind of lost my opionio of her a bit. Plus she was missing two side teeth. So being in the dentistry domaine, what do you think I was looking at half the night, Her missing tooth. I figure someone who controls 67 ip clinics, should at least have a smile half decent since were all looking at her.

I was also told there will be meetings coming up for those on phase 4, and she is in the process of sending recipies to coaches now.

Today i will get one for tia chicken with the wf peanut butter, will post it on here tonight after work~~

Thank you so much I love my thai chicken pizza and am going to try it this weekend with the crepe packet. This information is very interesting. I went to my wi yesterday and they still don't have the broccoli soup or any of the new drinks! can't wait to try the broccoli soup.
So we can't cook with olive oil... hmm that changes things... I don't really like the oil just drizzled over my food. :( I get oil and vinegar salad dressings I will be making from now on... oh well if it help with all the weight loss it is worth it.
Thanks again for the update.

Back from doctor. I have a severe case of contact dermatitis... the joy! My face is still incredibly swollen. I haven't had a systemic reaction, but if I do I should call 911. Hope everyone else's Friday is going better than mine. I have taken allergy meds as prescribed and am about to go find a cold compress.

On a positive note, I was weight at the dr's office and it said 184, after having drank a huge bottle of water AND fully clothed!

Congrats to all with great SVs and NSVs.

My coach told us that it was ok to cook with the olive oil. She said we just can't fry meat with it but we can cook meat with olive oil in the oven and stir frying veggies with the oil is fine too...? It seems every coach is different!

I also find, despite going into week 4, that my cravings are getting a little stronger than they were last week. I so badly want to indulge in just one thing, but I know I can't. And there's no IP product that can fill the void.

Stay strong and don't do it! It's totally not worth kicking yourself out of ketosis. Healing that liver and making yourself healthy is so important and you're taking the right steps to get there!

Yesterday was my first WI! Technically it was 10 days but anyway, I lost 7 lbs and my husband lost 11! I was hoping for more since it was a longer week but will try harder this week.

Great job!!! Keep it up! I still haven't gotten a 7 at a WI yet, so you're rockin' it!

As for me, glad it's Friday! Hello weekend! I start my new position at work on Monday, so excited and nervous for that.

Great job everyone and keep up the great work!

Thank goodness it's Day 5! Yesterday I ran to the grocery store after work, first time since I started IP. It was tough! I was faced with all the foods I would normally just grab without a thought. I found my self staring at fruit the most though...and a few long stares at crackers/breads. It was really tough...I ended up sucking on a tick tac on the way home to try and curb the cravings...lol!

Stayed strong though! Feeling good today!

Just remember why we are doing this everyone!!! Stay strong, tomorrow is a new day :-)

Happy Friday!

Congrats to everyone for staying on plan and all the success! Hearing how much everyone is losing is setting up my expectations. I hope I can do as well!

I'm on day 3 and I'm feeling really good. My energy is low, but the yuck is gone. I'm not sleepy, just fatigued. I couldn't finish breakfast this morning. I just wasn't hungry.

I'm dealing with a lot of emotional stuff and coming to peace with a new way of eating. A part of me is in mourning for the things I used to eat, but won't any more. Another part of me is mourning the loss of my most active addiction (compulsive eating). I've been in denial about the changes that would benefit my health for a long time, so coming to peace with the necessity for change is good. I'm looking at the size 14s I have in my closet and looking forward to getting back into them!

Wishing you all a great day!

FirstDietVA 04-15-2011 11:20 AM

Hi Cindy!

I've been comfort eating for the past 3 years and I've been comforting way too much! It's really hard to accept that you don't have control over yourself. But you are taking control now and that is everything!

Just remember you deserve to be healthy and happy.

Hope you have a great day!

Eating out this weekend !!

I am now on day 9 and i feel great ! I have not cheated and that is a miracle in itself.
We are going to be eating out tomorrow and I am super nervous. Husband wanted olive garden, but im not sure if they is anything I can have.
My thought was Applebees. Does anyone have any ideas.
I live in Canada and so we dont have some of the same places to eat as some of you in the South.

Also, I have seen some mention pizza's to eat. Egg pizza, etc...
Does anyone care to share a recipe.
Hope everyone has a successful weekend !!:)
