Just got back from WI# 19 and lost 5.4 lbs and I have reached my halfway point of 75 lbs. I have gone from a size 32 / 4X pants and 4X shirts to a comfortable size 18 pants and 1X shirts. The IP protocol works when you work the plan.

Here's to an "ideal" IDEAL PROTEIN weekend for everyone.

I have used them in phase 1...they ARE 0/0/0....and I follow the label and only eat 1/2 a bag in a serving.

That is so hard when the little ones are sick. I'm sure the stress could be a factor in your wi this morning. Little guys are way more resiliant than we realize. Hope he recovers quickly!

According to IP - they are not allowed. They are "good for phase 4". Since everything is 0/0/0 i don't understand their reasoning but there it is. I thought they were gross so it wasn't an issue for me. Just be careful with them and see if they cause you to stall any.

Have a wonderful day everyone. It will be WI #4 for me tonight I hope to hit the 20lb lost today, and I don't ever want to find them again...
Good for you! and stick with it because what i have learned is BEFORE you know it... you are in those 12's. the funny thing with IP as you have probably read here before, is your clothes will be smaller sizes on you sooner. For ex. I am now in a 12 dress pants at 165. 10 yrs agon at 165 I was maybe in a 14 or so.... i WAS in a 12 when i was 150 all those years ago... but never at 165. I think the explanation was that we are also losing fat from between our muscles, and NOT muscle itself? is that correct all? so yeah, you will be in 12's before you know it!!!!

Hello my friends
just got home from the hospital today after total hysterectomy on Monday. Had clear liquid diet and IV and gained almost 10 TEN! lbs. Do you think that I'm ok to start IP bootcamp today ? I did start already but ??? I really want to lose 20 last lbs + the Hospital water...I have not lost a lot after Christmas so it's about the time to start think seriously Fantastic to be back on the board ♥ and any suggestion, what can I take for snack because I can't tolerate sucralose at ALL anymore, not even drop....they gave me one Activia Yogurt before I left the hospital and what a night...Big D...and I just saw that it was sucralose in that(

Welcome back, hope you are healing well. I would consult with your doc before doing anything. the body takes time to recover from major surgery like that and you will need your streangth.

I have been on IP for 4 weeks now and found this website early on. I have been reading the posts daily and find them so motivating. While the first week was a little hard, on most days, I find it fairly easy to follow. When I am struggling, I come to this site and read. It helps me stay on track.
Last night, I had my WI#4 and I was down 2 pounds for a total of 17 in 4 weeks. I am really pleased with the results so far.

thanks everyone for sharing your stories!

Hi Everyone-
I am restarting IP after being off of it for 7 months. I kept the weight off for most of the time but have started to gain some back.

I meet with my coach yesterday and we decided that I should lose 19 1/2 lbs. We also decided that I should be on the Alternative Phase 1 plan - is anyone else on this and how is your weight loss??? I am not starting until Monday so I am trying to decide if I should do the Alternative Phase 1 or just Phase 1. Last time I did Phase 1 with an extra packet and lost 67 lbs. I am confused!

Alternative Plan - Phase 1

It is the same with some extra food. You have to choose 1 choice from each group and all 3 groups must be consumed each day.

Group 1: 2 slices of toast (whole grain, pumpernickel, rye, multi-grain sourdough, stoned ground whole wheat, oat bran, or sprouted grain); 150g whole wheat pasta; 150g brown rice (not instant); 1 sweet potato or small boiled potato; 60g oatmeal (not instant); 150-200g couscous; 50g unsweetened cereal (bran, oat, whole grain, barley); 150g cooked legumes (chick peas, lentils, green peas, kidney beans); 150g corn

Group 2: Fresh Fruit : 1 grapefruit, 1 apple, 2 kiwis, 150g pineapple, 1 banana, 200g strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries) *Fruit is allowed, but optional, and must not be replaced with a food in another group

Group 3: 1 sugar-free yogurt; 1-6 oz milk (2% or less); 30g cheese (about 20% MF); 120g cottage cheese; 60g feta cheese

This is straight from an official IP document...part of it does not make sense to me - like the fruit is allow but optional.

I hope this helps and have a speedy recovery!
