What’s your best compliment?
 

I thought it would be nice if we could all share the best compliment that we have received since starting on IP.

My best one so far is "You are becoming a shadow of your former self".

Let's see.... "Wow, from behind, I didn't know who that was!"

from one of my guy coworkers... "so, I was going down the stairs behind you and I just wanted you to know that I can tell the, uh, diet is really working well for you!" Such a sweet way of saying nice @$$!

When my mom saw me for the first time, she burst into tears.

"It looks like you are going to lose your pants!" Hee hee... I actually can pull my dress pants off without undoing them now... but I refuse to buy new clothes until I hit my goal!

I love it, my husband has been so supportive to. The best comment from him was "Now that's the a$$ I fell in love with"!!

all my co-workers have noticed. and one of the comments that they all are making is that i look really good with what weight i have lost. and my administrator has said that i need new cloths because she doesn't want to see me walking down the schools hallways and my pants be laying on the floor behind me. LOL

Can I have two???..

One, when my dad said, "From the back, you don't even know that's Sheshie"

Two, when my niece was talking to my son on the phone at Christmas, she said, "You are gonna be blown away!"

I got one today. It blew me away completely. I'll preface it with saying that I live in Los Angeles - one of the most brutally cruel places to live if you are not a smoking hot 25 year old Babe. Truly, I've lived here 17 years and not one man has ever opened a door for me, bought me a drink, or let me get off the elevator first. Today a new co-worker came up to me after the meeting and said "You look like Kim Bassinger." I was completely, completely blown away.

A younger man I know hadn't seen me since I started IP last August. He looked me up and down and asked if I had a tape worm! I had to laugh.

Another man I know, was in the hair salon while I was getting my hair done. He said, hi to me and that was all. A short time later, someone called me by name and he turned around and said to me, I didn't know who you were when I said hi to you! Then he said, you've lost a lot of weight! He then kept starring and finally the hair dresser asked him what he was starring at. His reply was that he couldn't believe it was me. :)

"Every time I see you, I have to recognize you all over again!"

And yesterday at the dance studio, they had put up pictures from the Christmas party. I was horrified at how short my dress appeared because I was sitting on a barstool. It was easily half way up my thigh! The receptionist just looked at me and said, "You are crazy, you look hot!" :o

My kids privately told my wife "daddy looks great". She relayed that to me. I was verklempt.

I love all of these sweet compliments you've received. I've been on plan since Jan 4, 2011 and have lost about 14-15 lbs. (i'll find out for sure at 5:15 when I weigh in today....I'm hoping for 2-3 more lbs.) :-)

I just received my first compliment from someone other than my husband yesterday having dinner with a friend we haven't seen in about 3 weeks...he said, "So, looks like you lost a bunch of weight. Good job sticking with it!" I was soooo happy and just felt a huge smile on my face! All I said was "THANK YOU!"

I think since my husband sees me everyday, he hasn't really said anything specific. BUT, He tells me on a weekly basis that I look so HOT! I love him! :-)

i got my first real compliment on monday. a girl that is on my rival music trivia team said, "laura, i'm kind of embarrassed to ask you, but how much weight have you lost? you look fantastic!". it was great because she didn't know i was on a diet, so she wasn't just being nice.

isn't this fun? and we deserve it for our HARD work and 'stick to it ness".....various comments... one most recent today: so you must now be at the weight you were aiming for right ? when i tell them my first goal is in another 17, then will try for 15 more...they dont see 'where' it will come off. But - they dont see this body naked is all I can think to myself hahhahh I just tell them, "then I will be in my heart healthy range."

What a great and encouraging thread!

After my first go at the diet last spring we moved back to Oregon from Colorado and the first thing my very critical future sister in law said to me was "Oh my god, you are so skinny!!!"

Since then I am back on IP to lose the last bit of weight and everyone is asking me where it is going to come off :) Same as LOSINGFORGOOD2010!
