help with ideal protein

I am near 60, been on IP for 5 1/2 weeks and only lost 13 lbs, lost none in last 1 1/2 weeks. My goal is to lose 40 in 3 months, my coach says that is doeable. However, at this rate it won't happen. Is this diet not working for me?

People are going to ask you so I thought I would... can you post some typical days re food. And are you getting more than enough water.. they are very helpful here so you should get some info.
That said 13lbs in 5 weeks isn't horrible. you are still averaging over 2 a week. It can be discouraging when you hear big numbers from some of us guys but keep on going.. if you look at some of the posts people who have a low week ofter will have a really good week the next... stay on plan and you will get there..

Thanks Jacko....drink 64 oz of water, 2-4 c lettuce, IP omelet or IP yogurt shake for breakfast, IP soups with correct veggies for lunch, and lean protein and vegges for dinner, IP pudding with Walden Farms sauces for dessert.

Maybe it's the Walden Farms condiments??

Near 60 thanks for posting that. It would be even more helpful if you posted the details of what you actually ate, i.e. which packet and which veggies (cucumber, broccoli, etc.), which lean protein for dinner. etc.

Are you weighing your dinner protein? If so, how much are you using?

Are you using the allowable oils? If so, are you measuring and how much are you using?

A guideline you might try for on the water is 1/2 oz for every pound you weigh + 10 oz.

Your weight loss is slower than many. Unfortunately post-menopausal women can be among those who lose the slowest. I'm sorry to say that there are a few women here who have steadily lost 1-2 lbs per week. Keep posting and maybe we can help you figure it out.

There is a formula for how much water you are supposed to be drinking. And it is based on how much you weigh. Try 1/2 oz per pound of body weight + 10 oz. I weigh 199 so 199/2 = 100 plus 10 oz so 110 ounces for me!!! And it is hard.

You might also let us know your weights. That can sometimes make a difference as well.
starting weight/current weight/goal weight.
How long have you been carrying around the 40lbs that you want to lose? Is your goal weight a healthy weight for you? I know for me I used to weigh 120 (in my 20's) and I looked great but now 120 would be just too skinny at my age.
Just ideas to think about.
