For me I know when I am NOT in ketosis because I have 3 days of stomach aches and nausea. I also have bad breath once I am in ketosis. Those are my only clues. I (unfortunately) have been in and out of ketosis numerous times so I've learnt how my body feels at different stages.

Thanks for the info. I'm just starting to lurk on yall's forum, don't have alot of time to sneak the internet while working and once I get home, I'm too tired to stay up playing on the computer. Sleep habits...yeah, i noticed that right away, normally I stay up extremely late and barely get in 3-4 hrs sleep, now...I want to sleep at a reasonable time. I've noticed the energy and yes, I can actually stare and smell the sweets and not be tempted to eat them

Oh! I had no idea--I thought it had to be in the darker purple tones. Good to know. Thanks :)

Ketosis experience

I struggled for weeks to get into ketosis until I switched from green cabbage to Chinese cabbage and stopped having salmon and tomatoes. My energy level was wayyyy down but then it kicked in and I felt great. Eventually I could eat salmon again but just not very often. Water is your friend too. Forward is better than back...you're on the right track!
