In 8 weeks I have lost 37lbs. which is an average of 4.62lbs/week. This doesn't mean I lose this much each week. You can see on the bottom of my signature how much I have lost each week.

I have been losing very slowly but am still staying on protocol. The first week (January) I lost 6 pounds. Some weeks I am lucky to lose 2 pounds but mostly it's been 1 or 1 1/2 each week, sometimes only 1/2 pound. Last week, I lost 3 pounds which shocked me because I had none nothing differently. I only have 10 pounds to go and will consider myself finished and move onto the next phase. Sometimes, I mind that it is slow, but it's a big difference from where I was in January and that makes me happy!!

I've lost an average of 4lbs per week. The first week I lost 6.5, I've had three weeks where I lost a little over 2lbs but otherwise it's been generally 4.6lbs per week. I anticipate it will slow down closer to goal. I've started excersizing lightly to keep it up. Since muscle burns fat it seems to me that doing what I can to gain muscle will only help.

The fastest it ever went was 2-3 pounds a week - typically between 2.5 and 3 for the first few months. After maybe 3-4 months it slowed to 2 pounds, and then recently it slowed WAY down.
My understanding was, the 7 pounds/week is more for men, and women are more like 3-4 at best.

I have only been doing IP for 2 weeks and 4 days and so far 17 pounds baby!
I noticed somewhere on the many forums that I have visited that everyone has different results. Some people are consistent week to week, after the first week; and others have a big week, not so big week and rotate back and forth.
My first weigh in I lost 8.7 pounds. My second weigh in they said I gained two pounds and I nearly died, I was so disapointed since at home I weigh myself in the morning in my birthday suit and I had lost maybe 3-4 pounds total that week. However I realized they weighed me with different clothes so one I took of my sweater and emptied my pockets and they wrote me in at the same weight Still pretty depressing for everything this diet takes.
However now into my third week I have had another big week. I am going to plan to wear light clothes to my weigh in but on my scale at home I am down to 200.5 today.
Try wearing the same thing to your weigh ins!
I am curious about Plateau's...I have certain weights that no matter what I try my body doesn't like to go past and found even on IP I yo yo'd up and down around that number. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THAT?

I am tackling the second half of my goal right now and, so far, I am doing as well as last time. I am 16 days into the program and down 14.3 pounds.

At first I was comparing my weight loss to others. BIG mistake. Product marketing is a set-up for being made to feel like a failure, and shame on any coach who accuses any of us of cheating if we don't lose a certain amount each week. That's just bogus.
What I did do from time to time was find other women in my age, height and starting weight bracket, and it was a more sensible way to make comparisons. Even so...we are all still very different. There are SO many factors.
Bottom line...it all came off, one way or another and the fat loss is mind boggling. I have never looked like this even though I have weighed this little many times.
As someone on this forum once said..just do the plan exactly as it's stated and let the plan do the rest. There's nothin' to it , but to do it!

I agree 100%!!! My experience is exactly the same, averaging around 2.5 lbs per week (with the first couple of weeks a bit higher). My guide says expect for women 12 -15 per month. MEN, on the other hand.....ugh!!!! My husband is also doing IP with me. Needless to say the weight is coming off...averaging 20-25 per month! It's a good thing I love him! LOL!!! Actually, I must admit it has been a blessing doing this together....and we hope to keep this our way of eating for the rest of our lives!!
Best wishes everybody....finally a weight loss way of life that works!! Woot woot!!!

Same here disgal! FH and I are doing this together, we started in March. He's lost about 45, I've lost 30. I agree it's SOO much easier doing this together. Although the past couple of weeks I seem to have hit a plateau, with only 1 or 2lb weight losses....anyone else have this happen? I'm in week 10.

I am a slower loser as I did not have the glycogen stores (did Atkins for a couple months right before IP) and I did not have as much to lose as some (I'm guessing that makes a difference). So, week 5 and down 12 lbs, avg. 2.4 lbs a week

I feel like I'm a slow loser- and compared to others on this board I am, but to date I have lost 17 lbs in 5 weeks and that averages out to 3.4 lbs/week. That's faster than any other wight loss endeavor I have undertaken.
