Dear CheekyWit,

I just finished my late lunch, cream of chicken soup and cucumber. The soup was good, I can't wait to try the other packets. I wish we could have a sample of each of them before buying.
I have to drink lots of water yet, I'll be up all night running to the bathroom!!

So far I've had some cucumber and a prepackaged choc. pudding. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the pudding, it was good. I am going to have a late lunch, cream of chicken soup and a late supper..no later than 8 pm.
I forgot to ask my coach, can we drink anything else besides water and black tea/coffee? Are diet drinks allowed?

Holly :congrat: starting IP today, a very smart move!!!
You are allowed peppermint tea (any teas that are decaf), and also Nestea in the individual packets (make sure they are sweetened with Splenda)
You will do great!!

I just bought crystal light individual packets...they are not sweetened with splenda. Oh well, I guess I'll pass those on to hubby:(. I'll just add lemon to my water!! LOL

Some coaches are okay with Crystal Light - mine is, as long as I don't go overboard on it (I try to keep my CL usage to 20 oz a day or so). I'm actually drinking it right now. There seems to be mixed feeling on whether or not aspartame (which is in CL) is an acceptable sweetner - as always, when in doubt, ask your coach! For me, it hasn't affected my weight loss.

I was told absolutely no aspartame. I can't remember who said it, but apparently the reason is because the body still treats it like sugar (insulin production). No calories, but no weight loss either.

Glad to hear you're doing well, Holly! I started on Wednesday and so far, so good. I got some of the vanilla shakes to go, a variety pack of the bars, the blueberry/pom drink and the peach mango. Other than a headache yesterday that went away with taking some salt, I feel pretty good! I'm having a hard time eating all the veggies...I love veggies, but not used to eating that much plus lettuce at a time. Like you, I wish I could taste the packets before buying them!! :)

It can be alot all at one time. I eat my salad between meals then my protein (packet or cooked depending on the meal) and veggies at that time. I found that I was getting more romaine in by doing this way........i.e. more fiber. helps with warding off the big C.
Just an idea to try.

hi everyone i am brand new to this sight. i just signed up today. i have been doing the ideal protein diet for 2 months now and have lost 57lbs. i love this diet. good luck with all your weight loss.

Good for you!! I am on day 3 and I feel really good. I am finding the night difficult because I am so used to grabbing and eating whatever I want out of bordem.
I am looking forward to the day when I don't feel hungry and I forget to eat!! YAY!!

I am on day 3 and it's pretty good so far. The nights have been most difficult for me, I can't wait till the need to eat everything in sight is gone. Last night I was thinking about a slushie, yes, even with freezing cold temps. here in Manitoba!! LOL
