Big Mac Salad??
 
Hi! I read somewhere on this forum about a faux big mac salad, any idea where it is?

WF is for Walden Farms. They make 0 calorie/fat/carb products that are great for IP

I can't wait to try this - I'm still waiting on my WF Dressings to arrive but in the mean time since I was craving a burger, I made this but instead of the 1000 island dressing, I just added a little bit of mustard...YUM! Just like eating a burger!!

How important is iceberg lettuce? Can I just use my regular lettuce?

Yes, absolutely use your regular lettuce - I think the iceberg suggestion is just because that is what is used at McD's. Iceberg really has no nutritional value though, so anything else you use has to be better.

Okay, finally made this for me and my non-IP husband and we both LOVED it!! The only down side- it's huge and while I was practically licking the bowl I realized I still needed nearly 2 cups of veggies still! Bummer.

You could try doing it with spinach instead of lettuce - then it counts towards your veggies.

Just wanted to say thanks. I tried this out for lunch -- but no pickle since I didn't have any and I added tomato because I did have that.

It was filling and tasty -- I'll be keeping this one!

Had this for dinner tonight! Loved it! Even my kids loved it! They told me that they wanted me to make it again, even after the diet is over.

I had it for dinner tonight. It was ok. My taste buds can't seem to adjust to any of the WF dressings. maybe will try next time with a little mustard like ruralchick did.

Ugh..I hear you on the WF stuff. I'm hoping in a couple of weeks it will taste better!

A word of caution on the mustard, add a bit at a time and try it. A little goes a long way!

The WF dressings ate different at first bit here is a word of wisdpm....more is less. Don't use as much. Drizzle on lightly and have on the side to dip your fork in.
I used to drown my salads in hidden valley so I know. Good luck and hang in there.

Weird question, but is this supposed to be a cold salad? For instance, do I serve it with the ground beef hot, or should I cool it before I add it in and serve it? just curious.
Edit: I reread the directions and feel silly, because it states the answer. Does anyone ever eat leftovers of this, or is it just better to eat it right when it's cooked?
