Water...

I'm having a bit of trouble getting my water in. Seems as the day goes on I get busy with work, kids, etc. I just don't get it in. I usually have a few hours of peace and quiet in the morning, if I made it a priority to get it in during this time frame would that be ok? I guess the question is: Does it matter if your water intake is during a few hour period or does it have to be drank throughout the day?

Thanks for your help!

This is what Linden told us a couple of days ago:

That, coupled with the dehydration from the caffeine in a large coffee, will leave you dehydrated in the long run. If you like tea, especially non caffeine herbal tea, that would be a much better choice than coffee.

I hope that helps...

You need to get your water in. It is best if it is had through out the day so your body can use it rather than just "flush" itself with the fluid.

Ideally, if you are up a 15 hour day (6am to 9pm for instance) you could have about 6 to 8 ounces per hour. Try not to have more than 12 ounces at once so, 12 ounces every 2 hours.

I went through a period like that and to retrain myself I set an alarm on my phone and kept my phone clipped to my hip or in my pocket. Every hour the alarm went off and I stopped long enough to take a drink.

Keep a water hydration/sport bottle with you. Then you can grab a drink wherever. It doesn't have to be a large bottle provided you feel you can refill it when you empty it. My bottle is a contigo hydration bottle measuring 24 ounces. I actually have 5 of them and fill them all up at night, place in the fridge and then take one out as soon as I wake up. When I leave the house, I grab 2 to go with me. If I need more, I can usually refill or stop at a convenience store.

If it is the taste you don't like, flavor the water a little. There are many options: mint leaves, cucumber, lime, lemon, flavored stevia (grape, rootbeer, berry, lemon, orange, apricot, peppermint, etc), a little of the blueberry pom, lemonade, orange, or pineapple drink; there are stevia and splenda based drink mixes (like crystal light) you could use just a touch of to flavor not make a drink.

Do what you need to but, get in the water.
