Couple thing.....oh my Pegs, we are getting old! How about Beth and Dog, or the Twilight Couple? I doubt A and T will be dressing up. A never does, and I don't see it in her nature either. She just went home this morning. She lives at my place half the week! :S UGH!?!?!? I wish I didn't remember the things I did at 16...... |

I wasn't able to weigh in last Saturday due to being out of town, so it's a little bit of a delayed celebration, but FINALLY, officially, I'm forever out of the 300's! For real!
I've lost 61 lbs in 15 weeks! I'm overshooting this, but my goal is to hit 100 lbs by Christmas... that's 9 weeks to lose 40 lbs. I think 30 will be more realistic, but it's worth working for! Whew! I'm in the 200's for the first time in my adult life memory! I was probably a teenager or very young 20 last time I was in the 2's. Crazy. Have a great weekend! OH--- did salesgod's question ever get answered about green cabbage? I've seen lots of you talk about recipes with it, but I was told it was a forbidden veggie as well! |

I'm with you
[QUOTE=lilblackdress;3534438]I've been super busy lately. Leave for work by 7am, not home until 6:15, dinner on the table by 7 and finally sit down about 8:30. Weekends have been really busy as well. Reconnected with our grandson so we have been doing lots of things with him! Have not cheated at all and weight loss has been slow. .5lb here, 2 lbs there but this week.....is different and I don't know why. Wish I did cause I would do it more often. Unofficially, the scale said 188.2 this morning. Can you believe it?? That is the 50lb mark since July 19th. Stick with the plan, it works and the numbers will add up before you know it. For those of you that struggle with food on the weekend, start your day by making a list of things you are going to do. I make my list of meals for the week first thing Saturday and then get the needed groceries. I usually like to throw in a couple of recipes that are new or take a little longer to prepare and it helps me to not feel like I am missing out on going out to eat; I have something to look forward to for dinner.
Some posts have commented for or against about suspending the program for the holidays and then restarting after Jan 1. This is just my personal opinion and what goes on in my mind when I ponder doing it for me...It is a license to go back and eat as I did that got me to 238lbs (250 at one point). If I keep on plan, I may reach goal by the end of January. If I phase off now, I might not be done until the first of April assuming I did not gain any wait. Honestly, when has that ever happened, not gaining weight over the holidays?? It says to me that I do not intend to change my eating habits over the long haul and I plan to do what I want to do, whenever I want to do it which is what got me to this weight. I for one plan to be even more committed through the holidays. It is such a slippery slope. Think of it as driving down a treacherous icy road. It takes a lot of caution, vigilence, and proceeding slowly. Here's to focusing more on family than food! :xcheer: For now, I'm off to boot camp and then the grocery. Have a great weekend everyone.[/QUOTE You are so inspiring,. Congrats on your success. I'm 13lbs from my goal and have just started stage 2. I'm having a hard time sticking with it. I agree with you that we must view this as a life change and not a temporary thing. We do need to learn to disassociate food from the holidays. :carrot: |
Great Progress

Have a question for those of you that have been on this diet for awhile. I have been on it 8 weeks and lost 32lbs which is great. But I am having concerns about how I feel. Honestly, I am never hungry. Ever. The thought of food repulses me which is a strong statement but true. To even think about eating makes me very sick to my stomach. I am forcing myself to eat but gag on each bite or actually do get sick. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Concerns me some. Thanks for any input.

If you don't find what you need locally, I have an Omron HBF-510W Full Body Composition Monitor with Scale. I got it from Amazon and just now checking, says current cost is $54.34. If you search on Amazon and find that product page, scroll down and there is a comparison of some other Omron scales/body fat meters (my coach uses the handheld one that is pictured). My Omron tells me weight, BMI, skeletal/muscle weight, Body Fat % and my 'resting metabolism calories', which I interpret to be just what you said, the calories it takes to maintain. I'm not counting calories per se on IP, but I assume we will be keeping track somewhat once we get to maintenance. OnMyWayForGood, :bravo: I am thrilled for you! |
Hi all! I have been following this forum since before I started IP and thought it was time to say HI! I have been very inspired and motivated by everyone who has posted results and taken part in discussions. I think IP is an amazing program with very quick results-I wish I had known about it sooner!
I have been on the program for 9 weeks and my next WI is on Mon. My 8 weeks results are -35lbs and -16". My next goal is to be down a total of 50lbs by Christmas. At this rate I'm sure I'll make it! I am going off the plan for Christmas-my consultant insists on it. She feels the temptations and guilt are too stressful for everyone. That doesn't mean I will go "crazy" or not follow some IP protocal-it just means I will feel no guilt in having dinner with my family. |

I think going off plan is a personal decision. I did it just after 10 weeks for my birthday last weekend. I regret it. I hated stepping on the scale every day this week and being up from where I was last Thursday. I will hopefully be back to my last week's low by Monday, but I really hate the mental part of putting on the weight (even if it was for a short bit) before reaching my goal. I, also, hated the cravings I had the first few days this week when I was on such a good run. Mentally, I am back in the game now, but I can promise you I won't have another cheat anything until I reach 24% body fat (or less) which is my current goal. Good luck and do what is best for you...don't just do something because the coach thinks it will be easier. I've been to a ton of events this year where I was surrounded by temptations but I resisted and was happier for it when I stepped on the scale the next morning. |

I am also going off the plan for Christmas. My consultant didn't insist, but did recommend it for the same reasons. She did insist that I continue to come in to WI weekly so that I don't gain anything. I am actually still hoping to lose a little over those few weeks. I have been in 'boot camp' since I started on Sep 20th and will continue until I phase out next month. I know people have said it's hard to get back on the wagon, but I have a very definite goal to reach by the beginning of March when we go on vacation to Mexico, so I'll be back to boot camp on January 2nd! |
I finally got my siggy! Just testing it out!
Another hour till home time! It was a pretty good day! Today is seat up Saturday as we nick name it. I am the only female in the building today. I am being razzed by the boys, cause I have a crush on the guy at the grocery store and am too scared to make a move! LMAO! They keep threatening to go over there and tell him. OMG, I'm sure I'd die. My son works with him, sure it would make for some awkward moments! HA HA HA! |
