Timing for beginning the IP protocol?

Hi folks,
My chiropractor is going to be offering the IP protocol soon and is looking for 10 people for a pilot trial ... I'd really like to try it. I'm about 25lbs overweight and am disabled so I really need help at this point.

Here is my question:

We're coming up on holiday season. Am I setting myself up to fail if I begin this program in the next few months?

My chiro isn't certain when she will be ready to offer the pilot (there is a certification process or something similar?) but I'm betting it will be right around thanksgiving :(

This requires getting into ketosis and staying there...no cheats allowed. I started 3.5 weeks ago and plan on going through the holidays including a week in Las Vegas without a single cheat.
