I don't even know what would happen if I lost another 10-12 pounds and got down to a weight I last saw 30 years ago... maybe I'd be okay, but with a different body type, I might look awful! So I'm going to hang around here for a time and see how it goes with the running back in full swing. The beauty is that I know how to make a quick adjustment should I want or need to... |
Meggie:
To answer your question, sort of, let me give you a specific example: I weigh 145 now -- I have a suit that I bought when I weighed about 137 (that was about 12 years ago...it's got shoulder pads.....which means I'm not wearing it...) that is currently waaay too big. Pants falling off big, and suit jacket looking weird, big. I know it sounds strange, and I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself. What Novak says is true (that's why we call her Yoda) -- its not about weight or size of clothes, it's how they fit. And let me tell you, they will fit differently because of the reshaping that IP does because it burns fat and not muscle. JC |

And yes, it is a rather stunning experience... in a good way, of course. :D |
Hey Meggie, are you the one who bought a new dress a short while ago, in a small size, to wear to a special occasion in November? The one shown in your avatar? If so, you'd better try it on ASAP, because chances are with the amount of weight AND inches you've already lost, the dress could potentially be swimming on you. Which would mean you'd have to order a new, even smaller dress size and then find an even more anorexic looking avatar model! lol. But if this isn't you, then whom ever it was, needs to try the dress on... and if I'm just completely off... then I blame it 100% on LCB!

Makeitmatter: STOP NOW! It didn't COME in any size smaller than what I ordered, and it was on sale, big time. I am not going NEAR that dress till I am at my goal weight/size/whatever.
The older I get, the more I find Denial a very comfortable state to live in. ;) |

I hear you on denial... benefit of getting older... we can put our own spin on things... Now go try on that dress!!!!! |

  |

Come on... be brave... |
I absolutely will NOT. I am still fat, I am not going to fit into that dress right now by a country mile, and damned if I am going to pop the sequins off it and break the zipper at this point. The dress is hidden away in the back hall closet where my daughter won't find it when she visits and claim it was hers from years ago. And there is shall remain.

Wow! I thought I was in a thread about goal weight, but it looks like I ended up in Nordstrom. Gotta go... ;)

I originally set my weight based on what I thought I could do (185), which is significantly above my top BMI recommended weight (176). Of course, it also says I could weigh as little as 125! Which would be way too thin for me.
I am going to adjust it, though, down to at least 175, and likely 170. We'll see from there. |
