We eat differently, talk/act differently, and in some cases have gained enough energy/motivation to make major changes in other parts of our lives. It is hard for some to watch us. Has anyone else thought about how this change we are making is affecting those closest to us? I have another dressing that is a mustard, lemon, thyme combo. A fourth that is a lime, cumin, cilantro mix. And, a few other standbys are a sesame ginger, caesar and, an Italian. There are many options out there but those are the ones I have been enjoying. I always make them by hand and they usually last about 3-4 days in the fridge. It has 3 carbs per serving, again because of the sugar alcohols. Once again, it may cause a response in some people but is reported to not have glycemic load. Both are kosher products. They do taste less bitter because the sugar alcohols help mask the natural taste and, they are NOT pure stevia. They are a derived from stevia and are the "sweet" element from stevia. This was originally a necessary step for the FDA and not done to eliminate the bitterness. Originally, the FDA would not let stevia be marketed as a sweetener. It would barely tolerate it as a food. It was only allowed as a supplement. In fact, the rules regarding stevia are still pretty much the same, it is a supplement. Things with rebiana can be called sweeteners but, they are not the whole plant benefit of stevia. In other countries Stevia is readily available and used as a food item. The U.S. FDA is still sorting this out. Interesting side note, in France, Dr. Chanh has his own line of products, not Ideal Protein. Another note, the original products developed by Dr Chanh, not Ideal Protein, were formulated with stevia. I personally use sweet leaf liquid drops, there are about 15 flavors which, make doctoring drinks, puddings, water, and salad dressings fun! I also use the powdered stevia by NOW. I love their powdered French Vanilla, Organic, and Stevia plus with inulin. Funny NSV... I've been noticing that my belly pouch (some people call it a belly pooch) has been shrinking nicely & that's been great... it's still there, just smaller... anyway, it was still big enough that when I was doing yoga & had to do a standing forward bend, I've had to use my hands to sorta rearrange it so I could bend completely... but today, wow, it was still there, but it wasn't in the way... I could bend without having to push the pouch out of the way!..

Hey Tayler,
Did I miss the post on what it was like at your new job and in your new apartment? If you're too frayed at the edges to wrap you fingers around a keyboard, I understand. But I'm really interested. I love new beginnings. (A bit redundant, that.) |
