I have never posted on a forum before - guess that shows my age - so I may not be doing this correctly. I have been on IP since June 1. I am wondering why I am not having the incredible success you all are having. Some of the areas that I am thinking may be preventing me from the amazing weight loss I am reading about are tomatoes (I tend to have them more often than 2x a week), diet soda (although I only drink Diet Rite Zero), and salad dressing (2T but not Walden Farms). I am not exercising, but I was told that I wasn't supposed to be! Any other reasons you can come up with for my lack of weight loss? I have lost SOME weight - just nothing compared to what people posting on this website have experienced. Thanks!

I'm going to agree with Erin on this one. A lot of the large losers don't include these cheats in their diets at all. I'm a slow loser on this diet as you can tell by my ticker, and I do all non restricted packets, 1 restricted veg a week (if that, some weeks none), and no soda or dressings. I do all of this and still lose a bit slow. I'm sure if I had put in diet soda and dressing it would definitely hinder my weight loss. My coach even has me not do Walden Farms dressings and such in case it messes with my WL.

This week I also did 2 long hikes which really helped my weight loss.

Hey Erin - I woke up on Friday and decided I wanted to design and plant a perennial garden, and some fruit trees so we dug a 60 sq foot garden that's 3 ft tall and hauled in 3 yards of dirt & a yard of stone....bought about 20 plants...3 trees...planted, built irrigation system blah blah blah...it has monopolized my life ever since. LOL it's just starting to finish up just in time for me to go away camping..

summers are too busy sometimes!!

But I am still here - sort of :)

Thanks Xanthia and Erin for your advice. I figured Diet Rite Zero would be okay since it is sweetened with Splenda, and the dressing I use has only 3 grams of carbs and only 1 gram of sugar. But if your coach doesn't even let you use Walden Farms dressing, maybe that is what is holding me back. I am still confused about the foods we can only have two times a week. I may try to only have 1/8th cup of tomatoes every day and see if that helps. If I don't see improvement, I may have to be even more stringent. I appreciate the answers to my questions. I have a lot of questions. My coach has only been doing this for about 6 weeks, so he is still learning himself.
