BevS
thanks for the cheese info! i rarely do milk in my coffee so i may do a stick of string cheese every now and then to get my "fix"
Morning All,
I have been lingering on the boards for a few weeks. After reading MANY post my husband and I decided to go with the IP diet on 5/4, but using Lindora and EAS products. We couldn't afford the cost of IP. With our first way in I was down 6.8 pounds! The first 3 days were miserable.. I had a constant headache and I was weak. Once I made it past that hump I felt great. Last night i resumed my normal spinning class at the Gym and felt great. Overall i would love to drop 25 pounds.
I am primarily doing the diet to support my husband, who has a goal to loose 70lbs. He lost 10lbs in the first week and 5lbs the next
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you as I would not have been able to pull this off without all of the helpful post ! The results that i have seen in this forum were enough to convince me that this was the right thing for him
CW - I'm thinking of you and your family today and praying for your husbands safety. I hope the last two weeks were amazing and carry all the wonderful memories you need to make it through the next 4 months.
Good Morning, and welcome to all the new folks - glad to have you around! Congrats to all with NSV's! I've been reading like a crazy woman trying to catch up from the past few days.
CW-thinking of you today, sending you hugs and praying the next 4 months go quickly.
It's interesting to read some of the comments people have made about tweaking the program or not tweaking. Results don't lie, my friends. I say do what you need to do for YOU, but keep those choices in mind when you step on the scale.
Elizabeth: Would you please offer your input on Nautilus/weight training? I started up again last night on Nautilus - 20-25 reps per machine, max weight on anything was 50 pounds. I don't want to bulk up, just tone up. Thoughts? (I really value your advice, by the way!)
Have a great day everyone!
I had a SPECTACULAR weigh in. I haven't done this well since my 2nd week. I lost 4.6 lbs I also finally have begun to lose inches in my thighs and hips. I lost 4.5 inches in the last 2 weeks.
Here are my totals for the last 10 weeks:
35.2 lbs
24.75 inches
5.2% Body Fat
I am on Phase 2 and last week I gained .2 lbs. I think my body needed to adjust itself. It looks like it's back to doing the right thing. 10 lbs until my goal!!!!!

Why it probably wouldn't be a good idea to eat olives instead of having your olive oil:
There is about 1 tablespoon of olive oil in:
20 medium Mission olives that had an oil content of 20%
40 small ripe black olives
20 jumbo ripe black olives
7 super colossal ripe black olives
There are fewer calories in a tablespoon of oil than any of the above scenarios because olives also have carbohydrates which add calories.
Hope that helps!
funny you should mention that, i just looked it up as well and 10 small green olives contain less fat and calories as 1 tsp of olive oil and only 1.1 g of carbs.
Yay Carla!!! You are soooooo close! What a wonderful loss!

But 10 small green olives doesn't replace your tsp of required olive oil...that's all I was trying to point out. I don't think a few olives here and there would hurt, just don't eat enough to replace your olive oil

i completely agree!! the olive oil is very important not just on ip but for overall good health. i probably won't do the olives just bc of the fact i love them in mexican martinis and will probably start craving those if i get even close to a green olive
experienceing the WORST headache today, i know i'm getting all my salt in, maybe not enough water today yet. the allergens in texas-mold, oak, CEDAR-are killing me this year!
Sare
are you scale hopping? i weighed myself on friday and it didn't move one ounce by monday, WI yesterday and i lost 3.7 lbs, just be patient, it will happen
Welcome! Congrats on your losses so far! I also got sick of the salads after about 2 weeks. Have you seen our posts about the rhubarb yet? That's a current favorite legal veggie for a lot of us.
I just found the blog for the rhubarb recipe and gonna give it a try...looks oh so yummy!!
Sare...you had a HUGE first week loss, give your body a little time to adjust, and see what happens at your WI...it WILL work
Quick question...my sheet advises 1-2 TEASPOONS of olive oil, but I am seeing 1 Tblsp being mentioned...are most folks taking more, or is this another case of different coaches with different advice? I hate the stuff, but I will totally down it on a spoon if it helps, lol
