WI for my 3rd week on IP 5lbs!!!!! Yay! I am shocked how well this works. I know I have said it before but it really does seem a little surreal. I keep thinking I am going to wake up and the scale will be up. But not today!

Yay for you too Jordanna!

I had to buy a new wedding dress! The one I bought cannot be altered so after a lot of shopping I found an amazing dress. It shows off my curves and I feel so sexy in it. I will post a pic or a link soon. I bought it a size too small for extra motivation as Im almost into the smaller size
I had to do some travelling for a conference and got through it unphased. I prepacked veggies etc and I was excellent at supper.

I am training to run the 5k at national capital race weekend in May so I set out today for a 3 km run (im working my way up to 5km) but went down an unmarked path and my dog and I ended up walking 15.6 km. It was like a bad episode of gilligan's island. We are both exhausted now and I know Im going to be starving at supper so I think I will have a little extra chicken at supper.

I tried the orange drink for the first time and loved it. Now on my list of must orders.

I have a serious question. On Tuesday i was diagnosed with PCOS (how the heck it took them this long, I have no idea) my insulin levels are through the roof but sugar levels are low. She said I am doing everything right but that my body is fighting me. She wants me to have the glucose test done but if I do that Im going to be kicked out of ketosis and Im such a roll (I think Im going to hit 50 pounds in 8 weeks tomorrow) that I cant imagine doing anything to ruin in. I was thinking I would put off the testing until August when I go into PHase 3 (for the preparation of my wedding in sept and honeymoon). Would you guys do the testing or would you wait? I left a voicemail at the specialists' office to ask her so Im waiting to hear from her.
My gosh I love your gown. I never saw your old one, but this is just lovely.

Thanks Carla and Kelsey for directing me over here! I have been doing IP for 1 month plus...not doing well! As far as loosing I am doing ok! 20.8 lbs to date but boy I can't stay motivated! We go out to eat alot with friends....no will power! So in the time period I have been on and off several times! I haven't gained at any of my weigh ins but I know that I am doing this to myself! Until now, I haven't had any support either! SO glad to find this place and read about what you are all doing!

At this point, then I have been doing this strong now for 3 days. I guess now I need to make sure I go back in to Ketosis, is that right? And then basically start over? Any tips or suggestions would be great!

Unfortunately Tricia my cake didn't arrive - I'm hoping tomorrow though, we saved 2 cupcakes from today's festivities for my husband and little guy to have as a treat tomorrow so I will enjoy a cupcake with them!!

Sassy - you look BEAUTIFUL in that dress!!
see J, I knew you could do it! GREAT JOB!!

Commando Boot Camp & Cellulite Reduction

Try for 1 week. NO TREATS or whole proteins (fish, meat) except 1 whole egg and 3 egg whites. Eat only soups, shakes, and puddings.

EX: Breakfast: shake and coffee/tea w/1 oz. milk (if desired).

Lunch: soup w/veggies (see note) and salad (suggest lemon juice and olive oil w/spices (oregano, garlic, basil, thyme, etc.) in lieu of Walden Farms.

Dinner: IP omelet w/veggies (lightly saute mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, asparagus, broccoli) OR use 1 whole egg w/3 egg whites. Have this w/another shake or pudding (double protein here).

Snack: pudding or shake

NOTE; You can have the omelet (or eggs) for lunch instead of soup. Then have soup w/pudding or shake for dinner.

Super Soup: In a basket steamer, lightly steam broccoli, asparagus, spinach, kale, cauliflower, or a combo of these. Mix the chicken soup in a shaker and put the veggies and soup in a blender. Puree. while blending add spices: suggest curry powder, coriander, cayenne pepper, cumin and/or sea salt. Heat in a sauce pan.

This is a great idea with taking out the meats for a week to lose more weight for a special event like a wedding, the only thing I worry about it taking in 2 servings of protein at a time. I was told by a GNC guy that the body can only process about 20 g of protein at a time and that the best way to go is to space it out about an hour or two between each protein. Maybe a mid afternoon snack of pudding or drink would be more beneficial?

Not trying to nag I was just told that if you take in more than 20g or so at a time, you're body will bloat and the protein can sometimes get turned to insulin.

I may try the no meat thing next week though! I LOVE EGG WHITES!!

Looks like a lot of the Lindora products contain aspartame, corn syrup solids, sugar....probably explains the higher carbs. I think I am going to do IP but may try IP online. I really don't want to go through what my friend did w/ a coach. I've talked to a few Matol reps, too, and can get most of the exact same products from them. My friend feels this website and all of your messages are more helpful than the "coaching" she got. Do any of you substitute an occasional EAS AdvantEdge shake for an IP? I think the IP stuff probably tastes especially good b/c it doesn't have a bunch of vitamins and nutrients mixed in like EAS and others.

Hi, Erin, You may be right. However, this came directly from Ideal Protein for Phase Oners. I was reading on line that the maximum protein we should have at one time is 30-40 grams. One egg plus 3 whites equal about 17 protein grams. The pudding or drink packets are mostly between 18 and 20 protein grams. That would average 35-37 grams of protein, the same as 5 ounces of chicken. Plus I have also read that our bodies can process non-meat forms of protein more easily than meats. I think the extra protein in the evening is to keep our bodies in ketosis overnight. When using the Ideal Protein protocol we are doing things a bit differently than we might do normally until we reach our goal. You don't want to start burning your muscle because you're not eating enough protein.

Awesome! I will take you and an IP coach's advice anyday over the GNC guy WOW, I had no clue that chicken had SO much protein, makes sense about the body having difficulties breaking down meats too. Thank you for your response, where is the April 26th-May 2nd thread? I really need my 3FC posts to help keep me motivated through the day and I have missed them the last two day

Tomorrow is my first WI, sooooo excited to check my results!
