I have taken the enzyme since the beginning and have had to do other things. My coach has never suggested the laxative and I have complained to her about this. I weigh in tomorrow, maybe I will ask her again. The warm salt water in the morning seems to be helping me though. Plus it is a way for my to have salt in the morning since I do the premade drinks. I don't seem to have to lick salt from my hand. Thanks for sharing!

Splenda advice
Has anyone's coaches told them how much splenda to have in a day? I don't know if it is my Vegas trip that the scale hasn't moved this week or if it is the splenda?
How much artificial sweetener is everyone consuming? Including what is in the Walden Farm's stuff.

My coach said I could use splenda etc., but never told me the amount to limit to.
I try to limit my splenda intake for my iced tea when I go out to eat. When I first started IP, I was drinking 5 crystal lights a day, and was not losing very much at all. I remember a post on here that said that even though it says less than 1 g. carb, you still need to count it. So I was adding extra carbs and not even realizing it. I use the Walden Farms products, but again try to limit them to only serving amount (most are 2 TBSP.) once or twice a week. Again, if I am going out, will take along a single serve dressing-creamy bacon. Helps me feel like I am in the land of the living.
Since limiting the WF and Splenda, I have seen a better result in my numbers. However, that being said, I don't think I could have made it through those first 2 weeks without them!

Thanks! I think I will limit my splenda to my coffee in the morning.

Jordanna that is amazing!!!! Super proud of you and so happy you have surpassed your b-day goal!!! Whoop Whoop!!!!
Great job at the restaurant. I LOVE Ruth Chris, too. (Have to ask, which location did you go to?) When we lived in Edmonton, we went to the one downtown. mmmm...
It is definately getting easier passing up the foods not on IP. I was on the phone the other day and a friend of mine was telling me to take it easy in Vegas--everyone is worried that I am going to get super sick. Anyway, she said something about a plate of nachos and my stomach turned at just the thought of it in my head. 4 weeks ago, I wouldn't have been able to get it out of my mind and would have ended up in a sports bar with the super deluxe nachos and a big beer.
mmmm....beer.....guess I'm not totally cured!!! lol

I found week 3 was the hardest for me. Didn't move the scale in the right direction and felt that hunger was at every corner. Hang in there. Anytime I get hunger pains, I reach for a bottle of water and come on this site. Works wonders for getting past that hump. (mine is always between 3-4:30 PM).

P.S The membership to the website is NOT covered in our 81.00 It actually costs an additional 15.00 per month to join.[/QUOTE]
That is annoying, however, not too surprising. WW charges you for their website memberships too. If you sign up for meetings you get 2 weeks free to try it out. Otherwise, you have to sign up to get all the benefits.
Besides, I am pretty certain that site has nothing on this one!!!

Hey all! I am so inspired by all of your posts and have been reading for a while. I am new to IP and have a few questions.
I started IP this past Saturday and I was so sick yesterday. I drank a vanilla drink for breakfast. I woke up with a headache and felt nauseous for most of the morning, then I threw up and seemed to feel better. Then for lunch, I tried to eat some broccoli and cauliflower and then felt nauseous again, but didn't throw up. I didn't feel like drinking my IP shake I made so I saved it. Then when dinner came around I was feeling better but the thought of meat made me feel sick so I just ate veggies and finished my IP shake from lunch. Did anyone else feel sick? How does not eating all of the recommended food affect your diet? I'm not much of a meat eater anyways... Plus I am finding it hard to get in all of my water. Can you count the water you mix with your shakes as part of the minimum 64oz?
Thanks to anyone who can help!

I don't think it's working for anyone, but you can go to this site and create a new one that will work: http://tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ti...ner.php?type=3
Just paste it into your user CP signature instead of the old one.

My coach said no more than 3-4 g of carbs should be designated for extras like splenda/dressing/drink flavors etc

Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time of it. In my IP handouts, I read that "a nauseous feeling is most commonly experienced in dieters who never eat breakfast." They suggest beginning with the lighter foods (like the drinks) and introducing food slowly. The handout also says another common trigger for nausea is "an abrupt decrease in sugar intake." It suggests you might try the Alternative Plan for 1 week. This provides some "fast sugars" and will allow you to taper yourself off from sugars until you can do the regular program.
You MUST drink at least 64 ounces of water daily. And you can't count the water you mix your packets with. You must also take your supplements every day or you WILL get sick.
I hope you can tough it out for the first few days so that you can reap all the weight-loss benefits of the diet. I no longer have to take naps, I haven't had to use testosterone pellet injections in order to sleep through the night (constant hot flashing), and my acne and rosacea-prone skin is soft and clear. These are some of the additional benefits of the diet. Just saying...

Usually I'm alright in that department but these meds tend to have that effect on me. And I'm a bit afraid of laxatives since I've never taken them.

My remote coach said to use Enzymes right from the beginning, doesn't matter if they are IP or not, I work for a homeopathic/alternative medicine company and am using our enzymes, I'm also using our homeopathic product to make sure I stay regular as I've had problems in the past for other reasons. other than the first day, I have been doing well, I attribute this to the enzymes & the homeopathic product for constipation. Doing well so far, almost lunch time, looking forward to the chicken soup as I liked the mushroom soup on Friday.
So far the only thing I'm not crazy about is the crepes, and that was for lack of flavor, ordered WF jam from netrition.com, so I'll try that this weekend.

About the stool softeners.. I wasn't told about this either until I we started discussing it on this site and I realized I was having problems. Immediately after I started taking them I noticed a big loss in that specific week. Not sure it contributes to this but I am guessing it had some part. I have my weigh-in later this afternoon.. wish me luck! I was wanting to be in the 130s by my cousins wedding (March 20th.) I'm currently at 146.. so today's weigh-in will determine if I will make my goal! I'm nervous :P
