Had an interesting evening tonight with the IP rep. Learned quite a few new things and realize I had been given misinformation by my coach about some other things.
Such as the servings of meat...... the protocol calls for 5 oz of RAW meat - not 5 oz of COOKED as she has repeatedly told me. So I was actually eating 3 oz more protein then allowed - daily. Sometimes more.
Also, he said that when we begin the program, the amount of packets we eat are based on our weight. For example: someone who is 200 lbs should be on 3 packets a day and for every 40 lbs heavier they should add one extra packet.
Stated that the average amount a woman will lose is 3 -5 lbs per week for a minimum of 12 lbs for 4 weeks. And men will lose an average of 5-7 lbs per week. (those damn men! lol!!)
Also stated that since the very beginning of the plan, I should have been on the stool softner ( I just got that this week) and an enzyme supplement (which I was never offered) daily to help digest my food.
Ugh - wish I had all this info from the get go rather then doing things half fast. Not to say that I'm not happy with my weight loss results, but would have been nice to have done things by protocol and possibly seen higher results.
P.S The membership to the website is NOT covered in our 81.00 It actually costs an additional 15.00 per month to join.

Amazing how the information gets lost in translation. Thanks for sharing! I don't guess I will be paying for a membership to the ideal protein website.

Someone said they are having technical issues. The ticker factory ones work though. Here is the website.

My coach offers a free box for each referral

Mystical Mamma - Did they say if everyone should be on a stool softener and enzymes to help our digestion? That would have been a good fact to know at the beginning if so. Are you taking the IP enzymes now and do they help? May I ask what stool softener you are using? Sorry to be so personal but I just started taking pain meds and I'm worried about not going. Usually I'm alright in that department but these meds tend to have that effect on me. And I'm a bit afraid of laxatives since I've never taken them.

Funny you mentioned the bread. My wife and son sat there and ate the bread in front of me. My son ordered the macaroni and didn't eat it...just left the whole bowl on the table in front of me. I love their macaroni. I didn't touch it though.

Thank you.
I've been paying attention to all of your comments regarding your IP coaches. Some of you seem to have very good coaches and others seem to have coaches like mine. - My coach has never called me.
- No one has ever taken my measurements. I have no idea how many inches I've lost. I know I can do it myself, just saying...
- A couple weeks ago I went in to buy my 2nd month of food and my coach tried to give me all restricted foods since I was past 2 weeks. Wow!!
- Also, when you buy the food, the supplements are included (Multi_vitamin, Potassium and Cal-Mag. However, the Cal-Mags come 90 to a bottle, but at 4 per day, only lasts 22 days. So I asked my coached, "How many Cal-Mags should I have per day?". He said, "4". I asked him how many capsules are in a bottle. He looked and said 90. So I asked him how long that would last at 4 per day. He did the math in his head and said, "Just take 3 a day".
Funny, huh?

Hey everyone,
I didn't quite get my four lbs this week, but I did get 3.5 lbs down so my coach gave me the free box of food anyway. She said since I had lost 5.7 last week to lose 3.5 this week was amazing!
So that brings me to 35.5 lbs down in 7 weeks! - thus already exceeding my birthday goal with a week to go!!
Also an NSV:
I went out for dinner to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and didn't order the coconut crusted shrimp I wanted and didn't indulge in the Berry's and Sweet Cream that I ALWAYS get for dessert...and didn't even look at the yummy bread they put on the table when we got there! Instead I had my 4 oz's of steak and 3 pieces of grilled shrimp with a side of asparagus and broccoli and 4 glasses of water!! Oh and I even brought my own dressing and ordered the garden salad instead of caesar!

Anyone ever feel dizzy/light headed? I was terribly dizzy when I got up this morning and more thirsty than normal. I drank 96 oz. of water between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Thoughts?
|
Better leave the carrots in the bag. LOL, just kidding.

Yeah, funny... our on-site "coaches" are not really IP coaches--they are just gals in the office who are on the diet. They take measurements, but don't keep them on file--they just write them down and hand them to you. That's why I decided to take matters into my own hands with a good scale and a tape measure! They did call daily for the first week or so, and we do have access to a REAL coach if we have questions they can't answer, but I find I do much better with the information here--plus it's quicker.
Just stick with us, Scott... we'll take good care of you!

35.5 lbs?!? That is freakin awesome!! You must be on cloud 9
Good job at RCS. We went to Lonestar Steakhouse and I did the same thing. Ordered the 7 oz. steak and shrimp - gave the shrimp to my son and hubby because it had a sweet bourbon glaze on it. Hubby sat a menu in front of the buns and honey-butter, but I wasn't tempted too bad anyway. Had broccoli as a side and ordered the salad sans croutons, cheese & tomatoes. Brought my packet of WF Creamy Bacon Dressing. It felt like such an indulgence. Yeah us!

He said that everyone should be on the stool softener and the enzyme supplement right from the beginning. I just started taking the Novalax so don't know how effective it is yet. Have to wait to get the enzyme one until I go for weigh in.

oops that should have read FLORALAX - not novalax - which is the laxative - not stool softener. Floralax is supposedly more gentle. One of its main ingredient's is aloe vera.
