I don't believe I have ever posted before however I do visit this site many times during the year. To all those who have reached their goal congratulations and may the New Year bring you many surprises and good health. Last year on Jan. 01, 2006 I started the journey to return to a low weight I had reached about 6 years ago. I had gotten down to 163 pounds from a weight of 287. Then of course the ice cream parlor intervened and I went up to 270. (My all time top weight was 305 and I am only 5 feet tall). Last year I said enough and I did manage to get my weight down to 165 by the end of 2006. I still have another 40 to go, so hopefully by next New Years I will see that goal appear. Keep up the hard work everyone!

Congratulations on the astonishing weight loss! You deserve the best life you can live! My question is: How did you weigh yourself? My brother & mother (both 500+ lbs) want to find their current weight but can't do so on a traditional "bathroom" scale. The only thing we can think of is going to the airport & using those scales they weigh luggage on. What did you do?

Well - I ordered a scale (about 150 dollars) that had a 600 pound capacity.
