First, congratulations! What you've accomplished is amazing and inspiring.

And thank you for a very insightful posting about dealing with life post-weight loss. You're right -- I think a lot of us do think that our lives will miraculously change once we've lost the weight. Getting your perspective now gives me something to think about going forward.

I think we all have different stories and lives. 2 people can lose the same amount of weight but have 2 totally different experiences and stories. Most before after stories are really positive and optimistic, and they should be, but I think there is a side to it that people don't talk about a lot. I think it's the reason why so many people gain the weight back. They lose weight and even change their lifestyle, but they never address the psychological and emotional issues which caused the weight gain in the first place. It's so amazing how weight loss is both so simple yet so complicated at the same time.
