South Beach Diet totally rocks!!! I lost all of my weight ( actually 2 lbs under ) and never went hungry. I do admit, however, that I have stayed in the first phase most of the time.
How are you liking the Medifast? Do you find it to be too expensive?
I'm afraid of the 800 - 1000 calories to start out with.
I am trying to see if I can do it on my own with Special K drinks and mini meals...but I need more control.
Medifast- now counting calories and exercising to maintain.
How did you feel doing the plan? Did you find yourself hungry or feeling light headed?
I've read that people get those feelings and I'm already "loopy" without those symptoms. I need to keep my head straight at work and not be worried about when I have to eat next, ect.
I'm not at goal yet, but when I do, it's going to be dozens of plans that got me there, because every few months, I make significant changes to my plan. I usually translate WOE's (ways of eating) into an exchange plan, but I started with making small changes and not counting to Southbeach, Atkins (on which I stalled when I didn't count, so I translated them into exchange plans and from then on translated all my plans into exchange plans), primal blueprint......
I don't think the plan is as important as having one. And not falling into the "tradition" of gaining weight before you start a new plan.
Calorie counting and exercise, also trying to up lean protein intake in combo with weight lifting and lowering processed and artificial foods. to lose 1lb = 3500 deficit but to lose it the healthy way is keep eating healthy foods like veggies and lean protein throughout the day vs a candy bar and hamburger and that's it for the day.
