Wow congrats you look fantastic! And in such a short time too! That's great!

May I ask you to give me an kind of example of what you'd normally eat? My exercise is about the same amount as yours (cardio everyday and strength on alternate days).

But I'm always looking for improvements for my diet!

I dont really count calories religiously like others. I dont think I'd live with just consuming 1200 cals a day. It varies. Some days I like to eat a little more, some days, I eat just what I feel like eating (but I never ever starve myself).

Some mornings, I eat fruits for breakfast (7am). A cup of cherries, half a cup of blueberries and half a cup of grapes (sometimes, banana, apple.. etc). With a glass of water, this makes me feel really full and I dont feel hungry until a couple hours later to which I snack on yogurt and carrots.

Other days I eat 2 pcs of whole wheat bread and a fried egg. Or an egg salad wrap, then have fruits for morning snacks.

For lunch, I either have salad, or soup or peanut butter sandwich or tuna sandwich (whole wheat) Then I snack on veggies (carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, etc) the rest of the day.

For dinner, I gave up rice. Which is the hardest thing I ever had to give up. I AM ASIAN. And its pretty much suicide to walk away from rice LOL. I eat veggies and meat. If we eat out, I make sure to remember PORTION CONTROL. I dont over eat. If I did, I make sure I add some more treadmill time when I get home.

I still eat chips and ice cream and cake. But not everyday. Maybe once or twice a week. But I always buy the snack size for chips. For ice cream, I buy the smallest one. Its ok to give in to your cravings, but you have to develop a strong sense of self control not to over eat.

I run every night for 4-6 miles, I also do Zumba twice a week and during those days, I make sure I run at least 3 miles. I dont let myself get lazy to run. I know if I skip one day, it'll be easier for myself to say I'll skip another.. and another and another... Its a mental battle y'know.

Oh and yeah, I DRINK LOTS OF WATER. 3-4L a day. I need it because I sweat a lot when I run or dance.
Good luck!

Great job. Just out of curiosity - do you do any weight training at all?

My next goal is to get my old body back, at 95lbs. I'm still 10 lbs away from that, but I already am feeling healthier and even if I dont lose anymore, I'm happy where I am at now.

That's 140-120-110, I haven't taken another photo with the same outfit with my current weight, I'll probably wait till I get to 100lbs or my new goal of 95lbs. But to give you an idea of where I am at now, I can rock a pair of skinny jeans SIZE ZERO.

P.S

that fat chick on the far left, ate the other two. LOL
What kind of plan did you stick with? Cals? Exercise wise?

You look awesome!

No, I didnt do any weight training but if you count the 3lbs toning bar i use on both hands while I walk sometimes as weight training, then maybe I did . I just do cardio on the treadmill and twice a week Zumba. I just eat less than I did before (I was such a little piggy before, I will eat more than my husband who is twice my size!) and of course, I ate halthier. Even when I go out, I make healthy food choices. I stay away from greasy food and I prefer veggies and meat or fish.

However, I cant give up my sweet tooth. Every week, I still eat ice cream. and I get a cookie everday.

You look great!

I have fallen off the wagon for about a week now so I came on here to see goal pics to get motivated.
It's working and you look wonderful, thanks for sharing.

I really want to add Zumba to my workouts. Everyone I know that does it loves it.

Congrats!

1) this thread is rather old

2) yes, 140lbs is overweight for someone 5' tall, especially someone with a small frame who doesn't lift weights.

A friend who is only 1" shorter than I am won't believe my weight just like I find hers hard to believe. A good weight for each of us is at least 15lbs apart.

Thank you for this. We're all different and too much weight is too much weight. My friends tell me I'm fine - my doctor and my naturopath say less weight would be better. 40-50 lbs would be ideal. I've been lighter, but I was younger, so I'm adjusting for my age.

I'm short and small-boned. And a photo of my from behind tells me that my friends are being kind.
