You motivated and encouraged me, too, so right back at ya!
Congratulations on your goal! You look fantastic, and I'm sure you feel amazing.
Your story sounds similar to mine; I was never overweight as a child or young adult, 5'9" and an athletic 150lbs in high school (I so clearly remember the school nurse, when checking height and weight, commenting about being heavy at 150lbs- she also compared me to the weights of the girls who were shorter than me), used food for comfort, especially after having PPD after my last birth.
Look what you accomplished! It's an amazing transformation and hugely motivating to see.
You look fantastic! I know you're probably hearing a whole lot of that these days, but you really do.
I want to thank you for sharing your story. We have a lot in common- much like you, I never had any weight issues in school...and even ooking at your "before" pictures, our body shapes are pretty similar, so it gives me something to look forward to.
I just started my "new, healthy lifestyle" yesterday- I did great yesterday, but I would kill for something sugary or something cheesy, so I'm scanning through 3fc forums to keep me motivated right now, and I think your post did the job!
Congrats Emme!! And thank you for sharing your story and pics and insights (here and with the rest of the Autumn Beauties) - just soooo inspiring! Getting over the use of food as an emotional crutch is tough but reading this has helped me tremendously - totally making this a "favorite" thread.
Tricia ~ Yes, emotional eating sucks and it is hard to work through. But, it can be done! It's hard to sit with feelings and work through them, but it's worth it in the end.
