Steven and Charles, you are both amazing!God has blessed us with you as some real dedicated champions that climbed til they reached the top no matter what! This is wonderful to see here on 3FC!I think that giving up half way up the hill, has been the norm for so many of us yo-yo people that have battled obesity for so many years! And you give us BIG HOPE!This is what we need! You both seriously do and will continue to affect peoples lives in ways you can't even imagine! You have both succeeded in a total "me makeover"!!! That's my DREAM too!I'm new here at 3FC's,so I'm looking to you as my inspiration..You feel our struggle and our pain,as like us you have experienced the battle of obesity.I appreciate also the help and advice of many on here that have lost alot of weight and have big hearts. The difference is; you are leaders, like 4 star graduate generals. You have the biggest hearts, the biggest secrets to true success and much appreciated health!I'm your latest fan and follower!:encore::high::bravo::hug::val1:

I know that this is a shock, but it seems that this man died in Sept. 2009. He drowned while swimming in a lake with his girlfriend. Very sad. He had so much to live for.:(

How awful

bensempress 11-19-2009 12:59 AM

I just learned this by checking out his blog... how sad, shocking and just unbeleivable!

After everything he did to accomplish all the things he accomplished.

Oh how sad. What an inspiration he was. Hugs and prayers for his family and friends.

I believe he was actually training for a triathalon at the time. It is amazing that he was living his dream after losing weight. It is sad that he didn't get a chance to live longer but I imagine for the short period of time, he enjoyed his weight loss and actually living his life.

That is such sad news. I wish I had had the chance to talk with him - what a great journey he was on.

This story more than any other success story I've ever read has truly inspired me. It really reiterates not putting off reaching to achieve our dreams, because who will know when we won't have the chance to.
