I'm There!
Well, I'm there. 182 to 137...45 pounds in five months. I woke up this morning, and I weighed in one pound under my goal --so I think that means I actually did it. Yay me!
Now I just have to figure out this maintenance thing...which sort of makes me nervous...so all of you over in the maintenance forum scoot on over and make room, because I'm going to need LOTS of advice. :) |
congratulations!!!!!! i'm so happy that you made it. be proud of yourself. you are a new woman.

Bravo- way to make it to your goal. Hey, aren't you the one who used to have the size _ jeans fitting your posterior slogan in your signature? It always made me smile, so if it was you, please put it back oh slim one!
:congrat: That's wonderful!!!
Way to go! I knew when I saw those jeans getting smaller that you would there in no time. Congratulations!
Perfect way to start the Holidays!
Congratulations! How did you do it?
Thanks Everybody!
Butterflygirl -- I did it with calorie counting, eating a lot of whole foods, fairly low carbs and lots of protein. I did cardio on my exercise bike 6 days a week and I added a lot of walking to my days. I also did strength training with resistance bands every other day plus some other basic strength training exercises like crunches, leg lifts, push ups, etc. I just kept at it, not starving myself or pushing so hard that I felt like I had to quit -- and the weight just kept slowly and steadily coming off. And now, I feel like I am fairly ready for maintenance, because I took five months learning how to eat and exercise for a healthier lifestyle. |
Thanks for sharing & again congratulations....you look grt! :)
Schumeany - congratulations!! What a great accomplishment! I'm sure you are right that you've had 5 months of practice eating and exercising and that will serve you well in maintenance.
