About the junk-food...I was trying to figure out why taking away junkfood seems mean. I realized I used it as a treat or reward. And they wouldn't get it if theywere not doing what they were supposed to. When I realized I wasn't punishing them by not having junk food, I was able to do non food treats. So food is now nutrition & sustinance and rewards are not edible. Now, I have a hard time saying this and I'm not saying this is your situation. When I was 13 I decided to quit gymnastics. I started to develop and gain weight etc. I went from 5' & 85 lbs to 5'4"115 in 8 months. My father told me I was just going to get fatter and fatter. I was devistated. I had no idea 115lb was fat! I know he didn't mean to hurt me but I battled anorexia & bulemia for years. It's such a sensitive area w/teenage girls, they're already very self conscious and seem to only here out-of- context, negative things. I have 1, 15yrs & 2- 13yrs. I also have a very skiiny 7 yr old boy, but if I gave him foods I didn't give my girls, then my girls would only see, my talk about health was a lie and they're fat. I do wish you all the luck in the world on this one. It's tough. I have not been doing any ensure or anything like that for my DS but I think it's a great idea.
