so is there a #1?

  • so is there a #1 diet? by number one i mean in 2 catagories-
    a #1 here at 3FC
    and
    a #1 from the "experts"
is south beach still popular? is there a ratings listing based on the success of dieters?
it seems that so much is based on the basics of sensible eating and exercise.
isn't it personal success rather than scientific proof?
  • You could post a poll and ask. I'd like to know too.
  • My personal success has been due to sensible eating and exercise. A poll would be interesting, I agree.
  • Well #1 for me is whatever works for you! LOL! Hows that for PC? Honestly IMO though there is no one or two plans that fit everyone. I myself cant do and dont agree with lowcarb, but that doesnt mean it doesnt work and that many many many people have success with it. The same goes for the plan I choose, but it works for me and thats all that matters. Calorie in vs. calorie out no matter how you choose to do it.

I will say though that LAWL seems to be a raging success around here!
  • Bullseye - you might be interested in a survey that we did in the Maintainers Forum a while back - Survey: How Did You Lose The Weight? The two most popular answers were 'calorie counting' and 'my own plan'.

Regardless of how they start, by the time most people finish losing weight and get to maintenance, they've created a unique, customized diet plan that suits them and the way they live their lives. Since we're all individuals, no two plans will look alike. And your plan has to be something that YOU can comfortably live with because - make no mistake about it - you'll be living your plan for the rest of your life.

I agree 100% with Hun - at the end of the day, it's calories in vs calories out. After that point, it's really all up to you.
  • Oh Meg, you're a gem! I hunted for that but gave up. Thanks so much!
