Poll: Is it true.....

They say that what you eat for the week doesn't show up till the next week's weigh in. What I mean is say you fall off plan on a certain week you way in the end of that week and you show a good loss. Is it true that the following week if you eat on plan you may show a gain from the week before? Anyone have any experience with this? I'm sure its different for each person but my whole COD swears that its not what you ate this week but the week before that shows on the scales.

Thanks for your input...

Beanie - I do think it's true that sometimes the extra weight doesn't show up right away (for me it's sometimes a couple of days) , but a week is a little long. And it works the other way too - sometimes when you do everything right, the scale doesn't go down either! I think everyone's body is different in the way it processes food, and releases stuff like salt. (and it changes as we get older, too).. .

My own experience with this last round of TO - is that it really didn't help that much - but it's basically limiting the carbs to help dump the water weight.

I thought about what I posted yesterday, and I think maybe what we eat does affect us depending on our sensitivities, and there are so many variables - TOM, how much sodium floating around, etc. . some of these things may affect us right away, but may not show up on the *scale* right away.
