Any Mathematicians out there? Water?

  • Alright, so somewhere I forgot all my liquid measurements except that 8 oz. equals 1 cup and 16 oz. = 1 pt (that's right, isn't it?). My question is:

I have a water bottle that has 1 Qt. 1 Pt. and 2.7 fl. oz. How many cups of water will I consume if I drink that whole bottle (or how many ounces)?

Thanks and I apologize for my ignorance. I'm trying to drink at least 8 cups. Have a good day everyone and thanks!
  • Hi,

I believe a quart is 4 cups and a pint is 2 cups so you had a little over 6 cups of water.

Maybe someone can back me up on this?

  • ONe quart = 32 oz
    One pint = 16 oz

    So your bottle holds a total of 32 + 16 + 2.7 = 50.7 oz or 6 cups + 2.7 oz

    I hope that helps.
  • Thank you both!
Thanks for your responses. I now will remember how many cups in a quart! Some of the bottles have it listed in ounces which is easier for me to figure out but this one didn't (I think it was Poland Springs).

    Thanks, you guys are great!
