Hi everyone,

I'd love to join you. I am start (today) the 18/6 window. Glad to see others are fasting. Some days I may be able to slip into the 1 meal a day, but for starters this is actually a big challenge for me to eat in the 6 hour window.

rooting for us All.

Pinkhippie and FinallyFree, so glad to have you both here. We definitely need to support one another, regardless of what IF regimen we are doing.

I tried to change the title of the thread... looks like it's changed on the first post but doesn't show up on the main page of the forum. I wanted to indicate that all IF'ers are welcome (and anyone else, for that matter). Hopefully people will read the posts and feel free to join in.

Good Evening Everyone

I'm going to jump in to this thread I'm so glad to see an IF thread again. I had gone to another website that has an active IF thread but I prefer to be on 3FC. I'm going to start doing 18:6. I've done Fast 5 and 5:2 in the past and felt so much better.

When I do some type of fasting I don't feel so bloated, so time to get back to it. Nice to meet everyone and I'll be starting on Monday. I look forward to getting to know you and support each other. Have a great night

lovemylife001 and FinallyFree Welcome. Great to see all of us here and I too look forward to getting to know everyone. I'm doing the 16:8 for now. I hope to eventually get back to doing the 19:5 but this will be a good start for me right now.

Welcome lovemylife001. It's good to have you here!

Yesterday was interesting for me. I normally eat my meal between 5-7 p.m., but my daughter and I met yesterday afternoon for some shopping and she wanted to eat, so I ended up eating my meal at 2:00 p.m. I wasn't really very hungry and I ate what I thought was a pretty light meal - the salad sampler at La Madeleine - and once again I felt that horrible late afternoon slump. I could hardly keep my eyes open!

Eating in the early evening is so much better for me. When I do I get sleepy it's time for bed!

Good Sunday Morning Everyone

It's such a beautiful day today The weather is going to be 77 degrees and plenty of sun. Yesterday was 95 degrees and sunny, it was horrible lol. I like heat but not that much of it and I'm from the south I moved to Michigan when I was really young from Arkansas so I didn't get a chance to experience too much of that southern heat lol.

southermaven Thanks for the welcome. I'm excited to be a part of this thread I would love to eat only one meal per day but will have to work myself to that point. When I was doing the Fast 5, I would eat something light and then a meal later. I actually did really good, so I'm sure one meal will be fine once I get to that point.

I hope that everyone has a great Sunday

Hi Ladies Sunday eating is always different for us because we go to church, early service at 10 am, and since DH is only up for breakfast on Sundays we eat around noon when we come home. The rest of the week we eat sometime between 3 and 4 pm.

I decided today to try 2 meals a day. I read about people getting diabetes under control and losing weight by eating 2 big meals a day. So I decided that today would be a good day to try eating just 2 meals and I want to spread them out 5 hrs apart. I hope I can get into the habit of doing this. However, I will see how today goes.

southermaven I think it is good that you are learning what is the best time to eat for you and why. I think it will help you to stay OP. I hope I can learn the same thing as I work at this.

lovemylife001 We are having the 90s temps this week. Already possible 99 to 100 in the forecast which I've been told is rare here. But then I think a lot of people are experiencing unusual weather these days. Good luck on your journey.

I hope that everyone's Sunday is going great. The weather is so perfect, I wish it could stay like this forever lol. I'm so ready to get started with 18:6 tomorrow. It's amazing how any type of fasting impacts your life. I'm off from work tomorrow so it will be a great day for me to start.

I was able to do 2 meals within 5 hrs yesterday. Still haven't eaten yet today and it is 12:10 pm. It was easy not to eat this morning because I had a friend come over for coffee. I have also done my 3 miles on the recumbent bike. I am surprised at how good I feel I am starting to get a little hungry so may decided to have some fruit to hold me over until we eat this after noon with DH gets up.

As you know I'm working to lower blood sugar as well as to lose weight, but I also want to get completely off of the fluid pill the doctor told me to stop using everyday. I didn't take one last night and I guess it was the diet and eating only 2 meals, but I went to the potty so much last night you would have thought I had taken one. I also lost 2 lbs this week which I feel is real weight loss because I didn't take the fluid pill. Amazing.

I'm not really shooting for the 5 hr eating window today. If I can do the 8 hr window, I will be happy.

Have a great day.

Happy Monday Everyone

It was such a beautiful weekend and I hope that everyone had a chance to get out and enjoy it. Now back to the real world lol. My dog (Hazel) and I did 2 miles this morning and hoping to get in 2 more later I was going to start with a 6 hour eating window today but I think that i'm going to slowly transition into that. So with that being said this week eating window will be 8 hour and maybe 7 next week and so on.

pattygirl on your 5 hr eating window. Also aim for whatever eating window you feel comfortable with. The key is consistency no matter what eating window you choose. I also read an article about women who did low carb twice per week. The article was really interesting so that's my plan along with IF.

Have a great day everyone

Happy Monday Lovemylife,

Well I made it for 7 hours yesterday and am down 2 pounds! I may stay in the 7 hour window for a while or slip into my goal of 6 hours. If I do that I'll have to jump up and down with joy for a few seconds, and I'll count that as my exercise for the day.

Congratulations Trish on going right into 5 hours. Amazing!!

Hi to All others and waiting with baited breath to hear about your experiences. Let's keep going! I actually lost 2 pounds!
