Hey Annex, I meant to welcome you in my last post and forgot. I do that. It's an age thing. Anyway, come in and post any time.... even if you are a BOY!!! Ewwww! Boys are icky!!!

Kidding! Really. It's hot here and it's gone to my head. If someone says the word windows to me, even referencing the computer software, I'll be insane.

Nope Tiger, that doesn't include you. You can ask cuz I like you. Yes, they're hard to put in! And the "replacement" windows are even worse than the new construction ones. Of course, it doesn't help if you live in a house where NOTHING is a normal size.

... wait for it...

... not even the lady of the house!!!!!

Oh I slay me!

Rich is currently out at his third "Home Depot for more tools/parts run". He is the most incredibly patient man. Me, I'm going nuts.

Actually, I was out for a few hours. Some of the gang from work met me at TGI Fridays for lunch. Oh, you'd be so proud of me! Had the portobello grill. All grilled veggies and a big ol' grilled portobello mushroom. Yummy! Filling and not too bad calorie wise. And no room for dessert!

I've come back to quite a mess, started to clean up but feeling a little achy ... uh down there. (Sorry Annex. But I guess Semo warned you!)

BTW, Semo, I'm with you. I'll start posting daily weigh-ins on Monday. First day of September and all that. Oh yeah and TOPS doesn't have an actual plan but they say they follow an "exchange type" program. I'll find out more when I get all my materials, hopefully by early next week.

And then it's back to work on September 9. I can't believe it's been 4-1/2 weeks already!

Better go. Just heard the master carpenter pull in. Gotta get my dust pan and start following him around again. I have to admit, the windows that are done so far look pretty darn good!

And they open and close and everything!

Who knew!?

Hey ladies - Still working away at the pile. Hope you all have a great weekend - watch out for the goodies!

I'm also asking for prayers for a co-worker's wife. She had a miscarriage at 7 weeks 2 weeks ago. Yesterday the doctor called them in and said it was caused by cancer...a rare kind he has only seen once 30 years ago and fast moving. Fortunately it's still early. He sent he to Baltimore to a specialist and to begin chemo immediately with the prospect of surgery. They have 2 children, a girl 4 and a boy 3. She is only 27 years old. So, please pray for her.

Good morning. I posted last night and lost the whole thing so was so aggrivated I didn't repost.

I have been swamped lately and barely able to keep up with my own thread so sorry I haven't been around for awhile.

Semo: I love my glider and am getting better and better at it. Richard Simmons "bouncing" in your ear is even worse!

Tig: Main street was CLOSED? I worked off main in the First bank building across from the Memorial Health and Lifestyle (used to be transpos main transfer station) and the year before I moved we had all those under ground transformers blowing up and setting fire. You never knew when you walked down the sidewalk and over one whether you would be come a crispy critter!

Annex: If you can put up with conversations about menopause, periods and men that are jerks, you will be a-ok here! A man's perspective on menopause, woohoo!!!!

To all of those with family and friends that are having crisis physical or otherwise, they will be in my prayers.

Everyone else, hope you have a great holiday weekend.

Here is a pic of one of my new "smaller size" outfits! I gave you a comparison pic. The one in the striped sweater is Feb. Until I saw these pics side by side, I guess I really never realized just how much my program and exercise were paying off. Just click on the word pics.docs to look at it.

Annex, I noticed in your profile you are from NY. Do ok when the lights went out? Sure hope so. We had a horrific storm here (memphis) a month ago and it took 3 weeks to get everyone's power back on. Hopefully you weren't in the city sleeping on the steps of the courthouse like I saw some of them doing and NO PURSE FOR A PILLOW EITHER! Life is tough when you are a man!!!!!

Ok, now I feel really old. Our token male is younger than my youngest daughter by 2 years. Dh and I watch baseball and all I can think of is..Most of these guys could be your children! ( my ds Jack, is 30)

You guys have a great weekend and stay away from the cake and cookies!
