Default Anyone carb cycling???

Hi all, I'm new to the site and looking for support/feedback. I just bought Chris Powell's book and was wondering if anyone is doing his carb cycling. Pros and cons? Love it? Hate it? I'm almost 40 and have about 140 pounds to lose. Any support will be greatly appreciated! Erica

I have heard of carb cycling but didn't really know what it was, so I googled it and found this very good article, in case there's anyone else out there like me who didn't know what it was.

It sound like it would work, and would be easier to follow than straight low carb because you get to eat carbs a couple times a week rather than giving them up altogether. They explain why it works, and it makes sense that one day of carbs is followed by a no-carb day, so it doesn't have time to really upset your metabolism.

I don't think I could do it because I have diabetes and have to limit carbs every day for blood sugar control, but it sounds like a good plan otherwise.

Good luck to you!
