Default 8 weeks to my vacation can i lose 15-18lbs?

I am going on vacation in 60 days and want to try to transform my body as much as possible in that time.
I plan on eating 1200 to 1300 cals a day
homemade veg soup, chicken/turkey and veg, eggs, yogurt, fruit
these are the foods my diet will mainly consist of over the next 2 months
I will do alot of weight training for muscle with an hour of cardio every day.
i am really determined and i know this goal is aggressive but i want to see how much i can change.
Anyone achieve a similar goal.
I'd love to her any advice or stories!
Thank you

Welcome to 3FC, xxdg21xx!

It's hard to say how much is realistic for you because that depends on your current stats. How tall are you and how much do you currently weigh? You want to make sure you're getting enough nourishment, especially if you're adding in tiring workouts.

You asked for stories so I hope you don't mind my cautionary tale. A few years ago I took on an aggressive diet about 10 weeks before a vacation. I lost the weight I wanted to lose. BUT...I exhausted myself by keeping my calories too low and eating foods that I really wasn't that crazy about (at least long term) so I went nuts when vacation time came. About three weeks after I reached my goal, I had put back on nearly all of the weight that I had lost. And I was so exhausted/frustrated with the weeks of restrictions I had put myself through that I had gained additional weight. Then I was disappointed so I gained a bit more. That crazy diet ended up with me weighing more than where I had originally started!

I know I'm not the only one who has done this so I just want to caution you about going nuts with the exercise and calorie restrictions. Weight loss only stays permanent if you make permanent changes.

Anyway, I'm sure other folks will be along with more helpful suggestions for you. I just wanted to offer a little advice and I hope you have a fantastic vacation, no matter what the scale says!

Thank you so much for ur reply Lovestotravel
I am 5ft6 150lbs
I know what you mean about the rebound weight it happened to me a few years ago and i know that i probably will regain a little bit back after going on vacation but there wont be much bad eating involved so hopefully things will be ok.
I just want to go away feeling as good as i possibly can.

Check out the book Super Shred by Dr Ian Smith. There is also a group on FB called Shredders Nation.
