Frozen dinners

So, I eat frozen dinners for lunch at work. I looking to try some new ones.

Specifically ones that actually have a high calorie count and low sodium. But I can't seem find anything that fits the bill. Any suggestions? Other than telling me that I should make my lunch which I won't do! :)

With frozen meals if they take out the fat they add salt and sugar to make them more palable, so you may have to watch the Lean ones, I guess the best thing is to read labels. Good luck!!

I have been reading the labels not much luck. My primary concern is the sodium, sometime 60% of the daily intake in one meal. If I want under 30% the meals are like 330 calories which isn't enough for the amount of exercise I do.

I think you will have a very hard time finding some with low sodium. We do not have any kind of whole food type of stores here so I do not know if they would even have what you are looking for. What about cooking and freezing it yourself?

What about those like Nutrisystem-are those frozen? That may be an alternative for you-don't know how costly it would be,though or how much sodium, but that may be an answer for you. There are forums here that have people doing that maybe they can answer some questions for you.

I eat various frozen meals, I know that Amy's has some good organic ones..though I couldn't tell you the sodium. Any frozen meal unfortunately has a lot of sodium...

I personally eat lean cuisine, smart ones and healthy choice.

I would buy organic ones but they are $5 a pop..

If you like Indian then I'd suggest Bombay Kitchen for their frozen dinners. For example, their chicken tikka Masala has only ("only") 630mg which is 26% of your daily. The downside is the high fat content which is upwards of 17 to 20g. So stupidly yummy though.

This is what I do - it makes my life so much easier, plus you can customize to exactly what you need.

Why don't you consider buying your lunch from the supermarket or a deli. They can give you packaged salads and cooked foods. This should have less salt than the frozen stuff because salt is a preservative as well.
