ShaMac--Could the weight be related to your cycle? I gained 1.5 lbs after losing 6 lbs pretty easily, and I'm hoping for it to all go away soon!

BBB--I hope your tummy issue is getting better!

I'm attempting Fast 5 today, with in laws at the beach. So far so good, I'm not too tempted by all the food around. We are doing a birthday celebration this afternoon, so I might join in on that, and open my window a little early. Although the cake is full of preservatives and other junk I'd rather just not eat.

Lightenup, that is very possible. TTOM did just leave yesterday. I hope I can get rid of excess really quickly. Have fun on the beach, and enjoy your cake if u decide to indulge!

Good Monday morning all!

Looks like everyone had a busy weekend.

Lightenup I hope your beach trip was fabulous!

ShaMac: I hope your fasting went well. And good luck on your first Fast 5 day. Just drinks lots of water!

I got into the two teens yesterday, but then am back to 220.2 this morning. I did a lot of work yesterday mowing the lawn, and cleaning so I think it is just water. Hoping to get back to it tomorrow morning.

Have a great Monday everyone.

Hi everyone!

wvuchick--congrats on the weight loss, even it it's transient for now. It will go back down! At this rate you'll make your onederland goal early!!

I did better than I expected at the beach. Fast 5 was very easy to do there--there were enough people coming and going that no one even noticed I didn't eat until 5pm! I did indulge in cake and ice cream, but didn't worry about it too much. I was able to enjoy the grilled burgers, cake, etc with very little guilt. That's why I love Fast 5 and IF in general!!

I did go down some, but only 1.5 lb after TTOM. I think I gained some water weight yesterday when I got on the phone with my mom and drank wine and ate cheese and kimchi, lol. Salty, salty! But darn good I have to say! I've just discovered kimchi recently and I love it! We have a great supply at a local farmer's market, so I'm going to get some more this weekend to take down when we visit my mom out of state--she loves it too!

It's been quiet on here lately. How is everyone doing??

I'm still doing well with Fast 5. I did lose another lb, so that's nice to see. Just waiting to get out of the 150s. I'm looking for a great cardio workout dvd--any suggestions? I would try Insanity but I don't want to pay for it, lol. I'm going to try out a Leslie Sansone walking video on Youtube today. That should be enjoyable--we'll see!

lightenup - Doing pretty good with Fast 5. I've put on a little less than a lb. but I think I know the reason. Hoping it is corrected soon. Still love Fast-5. It's amazing that I don't really think about food at all during the day now. When I get off work at 5 I start to get hungry. I don't get home until 6:30 and I usually have a couple hundred calorie snack that holds me off until dinner.

I don't really have cravings anymore, except maybe once every other day or so, I will get a weird craving for something totally out of the blue and it passes in a moment and I don't think of it again. Anyone else have this? It's just so random and bizarre.

As for video recommendations, I can't help you there. I like to dance (even though I have two left feet), so sometimes I youtube dancing videos. I think the key to sticking with anything is to turn something you enjoy into exercise. I have been thinking of getting into yoga. I wonder if there are any good youtube videos for that?

Have a great day!

I'm still trying to settle into a routine, things have been crazy and stressful at my house and I've had a problem with my fasting days triggering migraines. So that stinks. But I'm still trying to work in this direction.

Also, I've been doing the occasional zumba class on youtube for fun. Surprisingly fun, actually.

Everything is going ok on my end. I'm still hanging in with fast 5 although I may make today a 500 cal day in hopes to see a decline on the scale this Saturday. I think that I'm still eating too much once my window opens but I'll wait it out to see of I should adjust to 16/8.

Lightenup I know you said that you don't want to pay for insanity but it is a really good workout. That's the only DVD I have done within the past few years. I'm a gym girl, I love the group fitness environment.

Thanks ShaMac! I've found it on Craigslist for $60, but I'm afraid of scams, so I'm not sure about getting it. Since I already have JM Ripped in 30 at home, I think I'll do that first and see how that goes. Maybe I can reward (ha!) myself with Insanity if the JM workouts go well.

wvuchick--I haven't had cravings either! Yesterday I was feeling pretty good around the end of my fast, and I thought about going on to make it a 24-or-more hr fast, but I feel really comfortable with what I'm doing now, so I decided not to mess with it!

Mrs. Snark--I'm sorry to hear about the migraines. Maybe if you try the shorter fast periods it will help?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'm working on it to see what I can do. I'm having so much trouble with migraines right now (I've always had them and now that my estrogen levels are going batty I'm having even worse trouble getting them under control) that fasting has to come second.

Mrs. Snark--I'm so sorry about the migraines, and other stress in your life right now. I hope things turn around soon and you feel better!

As for me, tomorrow is our anniversary, so we went out to dinner tonight, a day early. We don't eat out much, so when we do we tend to ENJOY it! I stayed within my eating window, but definitely splurged a little! I'm curious to see what the damage is in weight. I'm sure I'll go up in water weight due to salt, and maybe some food weight, as I haven't eaten that much in 3 weeks. I'd say I probably went over maintenance by about 300-500 calories. I was (and still am) completely stuffed!! lol

Hi there--I hope everyone had a good weekend!

After my dinner out last Thursday, I gained 1.5 lbs, and this morning I'm back to where I was Thursday morning. So that took 4 days to come back down! Oh well, at least it did. We're leaving this weekend to go visit family and I was hoping to be down a few more lbs. We'll see how this week goes!
