Post Not eating after 6pm. Progress report.

Out of the millions of diet tips and tricks I have heard from friends and family I decided to try one.

The tip: Don't eat after 6 pm.

It sounded simple enough so I decided to give it a try. I get up in the morning and have a coffe with milk. I normally do not have breakfast just for the simple fact that I am not hungry in the morning. I snack on protein, fruits and or vegetables during the day. Then I have a decent meal before or at 6pm. If I am hungry after 6pm I eat a fruit or a vegetable. I have been monitoring my weight and so far this method is working.

For my daily workout routine I walk about an hour a day and do light upper body workouts. I have been lifting weights previously but I noticed that it has been putting too much stress on my back and body in general so I switched to rubber bands for the time being. note: (I have been doing the workout routine before and during this diet plan and I have not alterned it in any way.)

I'm doing Genetix and one of the elements of this diet is not eating after 6 pm. The weight loss counselor I speak with everyday said what you eat after 6 pm turns to fat. I don't know how true that is as she didnt cite any sorce. There are many other elements to this diet, but the point is, I'm losing weight. Maybe there is something to this.

The weight loss counselor is not just wrong, they are ignorant.

Fat loss or gain is always an equation of energy. When you eat, how many times you eat, and even to a certain extent what you eat is irrelevant. What matters is calories in vs calories out. I am outraged that someone you're paying money to would tell you something that is totally fabricated.

Not eating after six is one way to limit caloric intake. I practice something similar but I don't eat until noon. Fancy name of skipping breakfast? Intermittent fasting.

Educate yourself because you can't trust the diet industry to do so.
