Last 2 days I seemed to be hungry all day, although according to MFP.com my calories were still good. Thank goodness the hunger seems to have slowed down today... hot as hungry as the last 2 days. May have also been a result of going strictly IE and giving up the idea of IF with it. I think it may be caused by the increased amount of exercise I'm doing now. I must say that the exercise is becoming easier and easier and I am even starting to look forward to doing it each day.
Beep Congratulations on learning to recognize when you have stomach hunger and when it is head hunger. You sharing actually helped me to be more mindful last night when I was experiencing so much hunger. I actually stopped and wondered is this really stomach hunger or is my head trying to make me think I'm hungry. Thanks for sharing.
Georgia I had the same experience as you yesterday as I'm sure because I did about an extra 15 or 20 minute of exercise. As for being hungry when tired, I remember when I was in OA one of the things they told us was to never allow ourselves to get too tired as that is when you have a tendency to overeat or to have a binge. When I get so tired that I can't tell if I'm hungry or not, I've learned to just go to bed. I don't trust anything I feel any more when I'm so exhausted that I don't know if the feeling is real or not.

WOW, this is great advice!! Thanks for posting this and I'm adding it to my "IE Tool Box"! Glad I could help, also!

Oh yes, this is brilliant! Thanks for sharing this, Trish. It seems so simple, but DUH! Why hasn't it dawned on me?!

I know. It seems that when I am so tired that it is so hard to always remember that rule, but trying to remember it. I also notice that on nights that I stay up really late with DH who is a night owl, that I seem to really get hungry or think I am. I know if we are going to watch a movie that I'm going to want to much so I now plan for it that way I don't overdo or go on a binge that would set me off. This helps me to eat smart rather than trust myself to be strong. May not would work for others, but it works for me.
Afternoon all! Weighed in this morning and have lost another 1.5 pounds!! Hubby and I got up this morning and like yesterday we walked in the drizzle, neighbors probable think we are nuts, no wait, it's 4:15am they are still snuggled in their beds not one is up to see us walking in the rain! Hubby also had a weight loss, so good for him too. Hope you all have a blessed day. Tammy
Yes it is! Been trying to get out of the 250's for about 3 years, and today I was just 1/2 a pound from that! But next week I will do my best to be under the 250 mark! How have you been?

Tammy CONGTRATULATIONS on the 1.5 loss and on your DH loss. DH has been diagnosed with diabetes 2 since the last time you were here. Little tougher getting him to eat right, but I'm working on his and mine. I think the exercise helps a lot with getting things under control. I'm trying to get out of the 230's and I'm constantly having to tweak my way of eating. So many things seems to affect the diabetes... how much sleep I get as well as the exercise, drinking enough water and now I'm finding that the amount of fiber always has a big effect on it.
Carolr How are you doing? Are you feeling okay?
Had a good day so far. Got my exercise in for the day and almost done with my eating for the day as well.
Hey guys! Well after my most recent frustrating diet attempt I read the book Thin Side Out. I have heard of intuitive eating before but it just seemed like a cop out to me. This book has guidelines on ways to gauge ur hunger and satisfaction (for those of us that have forgotton how). And also a good section on mindful eating which I know is something I need to work on.
I'm gonna reread the book so I can list all of the guidelines so I can try to incorporate them until they are habit.

I understand what you mean, my hubby has type 2 also and his fbs was much worse than mine he had a a1c of almost 10! Our doctor put him on two more diabetes meds and he decided to start taking care of himself and we both started eating better and walking. Tomorrow he goes to his first of two diabetes classes. So hopefully we can get this under control. Have a blessed day! Tammy
Well the first couple of days I did really well. Yesterday however was a different story. It started with a poorly planned potluck where everyone brought baked goods. I felt like eating not sweets so I went to the cafeteria and got a couple of tacos. However after I ate the tacos those deserts just kept calling my name!. Then after work and walmart with two kids my plan was to just eat some fruit and a light salad. Thats what my body felt it wanted. However the kiddos wanted pizza and as it was cooking I started to want that instead. Yeah, I pretty much ate a whole jacks pizza all by myself.
Today so far I've done much better but the day is young lol
