Now there is no turning back. I have probably gained 25 pounds since we got married, but it is really the last 15 that really bother me.
Long story short, I am trying to be as supportive as I can, but since I am not attending the meetings, I am trying to read everything I can about the diet from Internet sources (I do research for a living so it is my nature to analyze and find information on everything to the point of obsession!) I am going on the diet with him and I want us to both be successful.
Right now we are on Day 2 of the fast start. All I have is the one page informational sheet and I wasn't even sure what a green vegetable is --- if it could be cooked or raw. I have to cook evening meals so I want to be informed. I don't really like this whole revealing of the diet as you go component of the system. It drives me bonkers, because I want to plan meals ahead and get the groceries. My husband does not cook and is food illiterate. He thought the purple stuff in a salad mix was onion. I had to tell him that is something called radicchio, bless his heart!
My starting weight is 142. My goal is 128. I have also started C25K(a gradual jogging program intended to get you to run a 5K as the final goal), which I have done a couple of times, and I love. Thanks for listening. I am learning a ton here!

Hey - I typed this once already and it went into la la land, so you may end up getting this twice. By now you and your husband are probably already through the prep phase (only 3 days or so, right?) My center in GA did a beautiful job of being clear about what I'm supposed to have and they sent a paper home with me. The "raw green salad vegetables" is exactly what it says: lettuce, maybe cabbage or cucumber or things of that sort. Nothing cooked, although the nutrition plan itself spells out clearly how much a serving of cooked vs raw vegetable should be. It's not a huge list, but basically the vegetables are the light ones with a few exclusions.
If your husband doesn't get a complete list of what's allowed and what you're supposed to eat on a daily basis in proteins, fruits, vegetables, starch, fat, ..., when he goes in, I'll be surprised.

Not only are the supplements expensive but I don't want to be stuck on a bunch of pills forever.

I never bought the pills - and dropped 50 lbs. So just be firm if you really don't want to do that - and take a good multi-vitamin. I DID buy the bars and protein drinks while dieting, but after the weight loss period used comparable protein bars (I like the Detour bars but others have similar calorie/protein count). Also later after the weight loss period use the 80 calorie Light'N'Fit GreekProtein yogurt from Dannon - it has 12 grams protein - instead of buying the powdered protein drink. Just keep a pack or wrapper from your bar/beverage and either shop for comparables on-line or in your favorite store. It's easy to get carried away with high-calorie protein bars so be sure to read their labels carefully.

Hi, I am new to this forum and have recently started at the Quick Weight Loss Center. I am on Week 1 of Plan One. So far, it has been fine, but I have been looking for food/recipe ideas and can't seem to find any. I don't want to eat the same type of chicken or fish each day. The products are expensive as well. I was wondering if anyone knew of other places to purchase the QWLC products at a lower cost.

OK - I'm on Day 3 of the diet and seem to be doing fine. However, I'm not about to take out a second mortgage to finish this deal. With that said, I've been doing research on Nashua and Diet Direct and I'd love if someone could tell me which produces match up. For example...where are the most cost effective places to buy all that QWLC proposed for Plan 2? ...and which products match up? They don't have the same names!
What is Nashua or Diet Direct's match for:
Q-Burner
Q-Blocker
Q-Release
B-12
Essential Fatty Acids
Boost (found FRS on Amazon inexpensively!)
Bars
Twist drinks
Fiber Drink Bars
...and any other stuff that I won't need to spend their $2000 on for 12 weeks!

expensive
It is very expensive to continue...I spent an additional $399 to carry me through the next 14 week period. I haven't been able to find a cheaper alternative. I have checked ebay, amazon, and many other websites. By the time I would pay shipping costs, it works out to the same. I did find someone on craigslist (South Florida) that was selling the protein supplements for $8 a box. You might want to look there. They will probably be willing to ship. I am looking for quickboost.
I am on Week 1 of Phase 2 and am feeling discouraged. I lost 5 pounds initially, but when I went in for my weigh-in yesterday, I gained 1 pound! Any words of encouragement?

Just started a new program
I was on Ideal Protein (off and on for the last few years) I went back to Daysha's Wellness Clinic because I love the service I get there, and was shocked to see she no longer carries IP. She has a program called Pro Energy. I have tried a couple things so far and I really like the food. I really liked that it is less expensive too. It will be different because I will have to start exercising, which is good because I have become a couch potato thanks to IP. I will keep you posted on how my weight loss goes. Fingers crossed
Has anyone else heard anything about this program?

Hola Everyone!
Today is my day two of the prep on QWL. I am doing this for health reasons and also for my up coming wedding in March! I want to lose 33 LBS. I currently weigh 154 and i am 5'2.
I am struggling on day 2. I decided not to take any of the supplements they gave me as i don't do well with things that make me feel jittery. The only thing i did stick to taking in the Fiber. I feel it keeps me full.
Today is my day two and i already want to quit. My body is going nuts with the lack of sugar in my coffee or my rice and beans. I hope to reach until day 4. But most likely,i will only do one more day.
Good luck to all the ladies and Gents out there!

Can anyone help
I was about to restart QWL from when I did it a few years ago. Now, I can't find my prep sheet, plateau breaker not my book. I'm worried they may have gotten accidently tossed when we were moving around paperwork and cleaning out our kitchen. Can anyone help? I'm so bummed as I also marked which level on the glycemic index my foods were so I could pair them a little better. I only remember a few from memory like only 1/2 a med potato a few times a week and I think 1/4c rice a few times. I'd appreciate any help.

Ok. So after scrolling through all the pages, I believe I decided to give QLWC a try. They are running a special, 66 dollars for 4 weeks. Without the supplements of course! Hopefully I can loose 30 lbs in such a small amount of time. Wish me luck!

This appeared to be such an active thread, but nothing from 2017.
Anybody still doing QWLC?
Day 3 of prep for me is tomorrow, and so far I haven't lost anything which is concerning.
