Looking for an App
I read Sexy in 6 and decided to try the diet plan. It's simple... 7 proteins, 5 grains, 4 fruits, 3 fats, 3 dairy and unlimited veggies a day. Easier to keep up with than calories and I've been able to stick to it for the week without obsessing over food like I normally do. For some insane reason, I don't feel like I'm dieting because I can have my bread and such without worrying about cutting out food groups. Trouble is, I don't want to wag a sheet of paper around with me to keep up with servings, so I did some research looking for a better way to track.
I found the Food Mover by Richard Simmons. It's sorta the same thing, but his servings vary according to your weight. To me, the diet sounds better because your servings/calories will decrease as you lose weight, which is logical to me, but I'd STILL have to wag something around to track servings. I browsed through the Android Marketplace, but I'm overwhelmed with diet apps. Does anyone know of a Droid app that works basically like the Food Mover? |
Janelle here! Good ole redneck girl!
So, I believe I know you! Did you really march your red sequined shoes over here? Welcome! |
It is you! Ducks, flying sequins!
In the spirit of the thread, I've looked at tons of apps, and personally, I think they all bite. Let's get together and write our own!:carrot::D |
*ahem* Missy! You best be checkin' that date! I've been here since before CP... almost 6 years before you! ROFL :D
I guess I'm just going to break down and order the Food Mover. Thanks anyway! |
There is an app for that! The CheckOff Diet tracker. :)

Anyone know one for ideal protien? All phases?

7 years later, but... There is a new app that much more closely follows the simple behavior of the FoodMover device, including the pre-set weight-based total calorie counts. It's called Tap-A-Meal. It's very easy to see what you have checked off - I found the Checkoff Diet Tracker and Checkoff Portions Diet Tracker too cluttered, and their goal and actual numbers harder to take in at a glance than actual boxes with checkmarks in them that Tap-A-Meal uses. The only thing is it doesn't have boxes for water, exercise, vitamin, and motivators like the FoodMover does. I'm hoping they will be added in response to my Google Play feedback. It's a very new app, and I'm the first reviewer. And no, I don't know the developer, I was just looking for an app because I had misplaced my FoodMover plastic thingie.
