Itchy stretch marks

  • Over the past 10 months, I have lost 70 pounds. I'm still trying to get healthy and hope to lose 55 more over the next 10 months. Anyway, I'm now at 180 pounds and since I got under 190, I've had a problem of itchy stretch marks on my stomach. First off, it looks like my stretch marks are getting worse (I've gained other stretch marks since losing weight). But now my stretch marks on my stomach itch all the time. I apply cocoabutter and still nothing. I drink a fair amount of water and everything, but no luck in stopping it.

Is anyone else having the same problem?
  • Get in a warm bath with some coconut oil. I have some pretty nasty marks, and that soothes them a lot.
  • I second the bath. I noticed after my pregnancies and weight loss that soaking 20-30 minutes in a bath (I used essential oils different ones and sea salts, but Epsom salt at times I could not afford sea) and it makes a huge difference! If the cocoa butter isn't working, maybe try oils after rinsing off the salt (assuming you do that) while the skin is damp and ideally air dry.
