I'm becoming more interested in intermittent fasting. Mostly I use a fast to recover or prepare for calorie overload or cheat days, and I usually fast if I have nothing going on. Low energy days, like I don't have to work or do a lot of running around.
I cheated heavy yesterday and I wanted to fast today. But I also want to do my boot camp work out this morning. Would it be bad to fast on the same day I work out? Is that going to throw my body in to some muscle wasting tizzy?
I'm going to fast today, so I guess I just need to know if I should skip the workout.


I do fast often. My understanding (and what works for me) is when doing a 24 hour fast, do workouts closer to the end of the fast, like right before breaking the fast. So if you fast for 24 hours and are scheduled to eat at 8pm then you would work out at 7pm.
