Question About Inches Lost...
When I first measured my body, I weighed 227 lbs.
My calves were 18 inches. Now, I'm 201 and my calves are still 18 inches. Yes, i've been exercising, but will they ever get any smaller?... |
Are you sure that you are measuring in the very same spot as before and did you hold the tape tighter the first time? Did you measure the same calf-ie left or right?
I lost almost 40lbs and my calves only went down an inch. However, I lost 7.5 on my waist in comparison. What I do is measure everything. It is amazing where you lose inches on. This is what I do: neck, above bust, bust, waist, belly, hip, upper thigh, knee, calf, ankle, upper arm, elbow, and wrist. I lost 37 inches all over. They all count. Try it and DO NOT get discouraged!!! :) |
some areas of your body can be a bit more stubborn than others. You probably have lost inches in other places!
Do you lift weights? If not, you should start! Great way to make your legs nice and strong :) My legs are stubborn too. I've been getting measured at my gym and I have the goal of maintaining my weight and losing inches. In three weeks I lost a quarter inches off my arms, bust, waist, and belly button, and a half inch off my hips. I lost nothing from my thighs! I didn't lose any weight by the way, so this is lifting at work here :) |
I have the same issue as you. I run and try to do a lot to work out my calves but they don't seem to budge. I'm not worried though because I know in the end my body will be more proportionate than it is now.
