High fiber and bloating?
So, I've started eating breakfast (hooray!), which consists of a high fiber oatmeal and activia, and have increased my veggie intake (I snack on steamed veg most nights if I get a snack attack)...obviously this is a lot more fiber than I've had in many, many years.
Could it be causing my recent (ie: past 2 days) stint of bloating and uh...how to put this delicately...very frequent need to go #2...? |
Yep, that would be it. LOL
I eat a lot of fiber, but have for a while so I'm used to it. But I also drink a lot of water... the key I have found with fiber is you need the liquid to go with it or it's bloat and constipation city, for me at least. LOL I found I had more problems with the foods where it was added in, instead of in there naturally.. like the yogurts and ice creams, etc. |
Yes, it takes your body awhile to get used to new eating habits. Do drink plenty of water to help the fiber to pass.
